I would prefer the announcement to be made today or tomorrow as I think that it being announced on a match day would be a bit low by the FL unless it's relatively good news for us.
Taken from a report of the AYP forum this week. Q: When can we expect the outcome of the Football League tribunal? A: SD: By the end of this week. The Football League have stood by the assertions that they have made. There have been no surprises. We are hopeful that the outcome will be as we expect. <What do you expect?> No points deduction.
just got home and done it thanks leo. Been away past week and even managed a sneaky excursion to the rookery saturday afternoon!
Pretty poor form if we don't find out til just before tomorrow's match...but i can see that happening. In that case, it had better not be a points deduction, coz that would blow tomorrow night straight off! Though, having said that, Watford are very good at becoming united under duress, so it could have the opposite effect!
If that is what happens and how it happens, I think we should seriously consider pulling out of the match tomorrow. Not as a petulant reaction to the deduction, but because good or bad, there is no way that this decision needs to be announced on the day of a game which will determine whether or not we are front-runners for promotion. I want to find out ASAP, but if this was able to wait 21 days, it can wait 22.
you're right, but i'm sure that wouldn't happen...and i'm not even sure it could, considering it's on Sky...
Settle down everyone and read ofh's post again. I get the strong impression that the club are correct & there will be no points deduction. Have to wonder at the size of the fine though.
I would have thought that the club will know the decision before we do giving them the chance to word their statement in the best possible manner. At the forum it was said that they would know the outcome by tomorrow, not that they would tell us then. At that forum the directors still seemed very confident that there would not be a points deduction. I hope they are right!
Watford to have a 50 point penalty, start the 2013-14 season in Division One and not be allowed to buy or borrow players for 10 years. no home produced players to be allowed to play until they are 30 years old. Laurence Lawrence Lorenzo Bassini Bazzini, or who ever he is this week, to be elected unopposed to run the newly combined FA/FL, given control of their TV money (to be paid in used fivers) and given a knighthood for services to football. Then I woke up from the worst nightmare....
