Hi Canaries !

Let's face it Crooks' and Lawrenson's greatest strengths are as adverts for euthanasia (or at least eugenics - they should be forbidden to reproduce).
They are dull, lazy, biased people who get paid significant money from a public corporation to trot out poorly researched bile. Lawrenson's predictions have qpr safely midtable .....is he blind as well as stupid?

.......so, in summary I'm not a fan.

Good luck for rest of season guys.

Anyone else think it's really 3 from 4 now? Southampton and Newcastle seem to both be playing well enough to pull themselves out of it, and whilst West Ham are on some of the worst form in the league right now, I think their current points total sets them up pretty well. It's going to be awkward in my household come May though, I live with a Villa and a QPR fan, so at least one of them is not going to be happy!

Welcome, you seem to have a pretty good handle on stuff. Can't disagree with a word of this.

Go along with you RiverEndRick with one other thought - watch Wet Sham as they are plumetting and I think will lose tonight. In my crystal ball, I think Allardyce will be gone and De Canio is set to come in. That unrest will not help.

it's looking like 3 from 4. although saints are only 3 above villa, i think they have enough to stay up - although they do seem to ship a few goals (but can still score a few)
i'd like wigan to go, but can see them staying up AGAIN

Wigan looked great on Saturday. No idea why they can't play like that all year.

I think it will be QPR, Reading and Villa.

reading's defence made them look great to some extent beefy.

if wigan did go, i'd fancy a few of their attacking players, maloney for example is a great little player

Agreed with Readings defence. They just never got it sorted. When you look at how much they paid for Pogne...yeah, that russian bloke you'd have thought they would have bolstered their defence.

Wigan are the hardest team to call maybe in premier league history. I hate playing them because you never have any idea what is going to turn up.

I say qpr + any 2 from 3. Though, if I were a betting man (I'm really not) - a little outside punt on west ham as Thurnby suggests would be tempting. Though this might be motivated by malice = I was at the 1975 cup final.

btw Beefy Reading got the Pog on a free, his wages are probably 50k which I think is ott for him, but zero purchase price.

I think Wigan are my favourites to survive again - I know it can't go on forever, but teams learn to deal with that stuff. I remember Fulham in the 60's - we were 3 or 4 th from bottom all the time (only 2 relegated) - we got used to and expected to escape..................until 68 :(
