1626: West Brom 1-0 Sunderland BBC Sport's Michael Emons at The Hawthorns: "Peter Odemwingie is going to struggle to get in the first 11 of this West Brom side. Romelu Lukaku, making only his 12th league start of the season, has been superb with his pace and direct running posing a constant threat to the Sunderland defence, especially when supplied by clever flicks from strike partner Shane Long. "Lukaku blasts an effort at goal, which Simon Mignolet does well to parry and then drags another effort wide. Odemwingie stays rooted to his seat." wonder how torres is going to play tomorrow
What a beast , immense determination to get W Brom's second goal... just watched it and can't believe.. it had huge fortune to it, but bramble's back pass was hit low, Lukaku wheeled behind that pass and when mignolet tried to clear it - it ricochets of Lukaku from the edge of the box (right side) and goes in.. must watch to see the kid's confidence and never giveup attitude.. if he puts in half this shift for us next season - league is ours to lose..
He's such a monster, the loan was good for him. Definitely needed to play after being sat doing nothing last season. In other news (slightly) De Bruyne scored against Bayern today too.
Can't believe he is still only 19 too! Great thing for you is that he's experienced in the PL and should in theory be able to slot right in. Do you think he will get a look in with you next season? Or will you go and buy a big money striker and loan him out to WBA again?
With Lukaku, I'm not so convinced we have to buy a top class striker anymore. Would happily rotate Lukaku, Ba and Feruz next season - though apparently Ba might be off in the summer...
I heard that too, apparently Ba only a stop gap. Only good thing is I also heard Torres is off to Inter or Atletico.
