Well it was a Cortese signing so I doubt Pochettino would have had much say

I can't see Cortese wanting to let him go as he fought so hard to get him.

I hope Cortese is a better businessman than to make a decision on that basis.

Think if we are to move up to the next level that we keep hearing about we need to hang on to the likes of Ramirez.
Hopefully Saint's days of being a selling club are long since gone.

To be fair Ramirez has not shown his value, he has had a few good games, but puncheon has been more effective this year than ramirez

Maybe that doesn't mean Ramirez is a mediocre player. On paper he's our best player but has been off colour.

He'll be linked with everyone in Italy but it would take a big offer and not many teams have the money. So I expect him to be here next season, and I am sure MP will want him to be our main attacking threat.

Have we been watching the same team? Ramirez is anything but mediocre, his form may be a little patchy, but he clearly has great talent, skill and vision.
    Mediocre he aint.

The Italian teams don't have that much money, they had a chance to buy him last season. I'm not sure Juventus would now pay more for Ramirez this summer, when they could get Sanchez for less than half what Barca paid for him.

If he doesn't improve his form for the remainder of the season I certainly wouldn't be averse to taking the money. I'm sure he'd improve given a bit more linguistic practice and a full pre-season with us but £20m would be a tidy profit and would get you at least an equally good player.

Not to mention that Italian teams are only allowed one non-EU player from a foreign club. So they would have to really want him, and I don't think that will be the case right now.

He has to me. Last three games he has been quiet and saints fans are great at short sightedness. It's like when we lose a game, all hell breaks loose on here. Arsenal game he was immense and has clearly shown his value. The exciting thing is that there is still so much to come from him.
