A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans are understood to have been attacked outside of a bar in Lyon ahead of Thursday's Europa League match in the French city.

Three supporters have been taken to hospital after around 200 masked men forced their way into the Smoking Dog bar.

The assailants are thought to be right-wing extremists who had earlier attended a gathering in the city centre earlier on Thursday.

Tottenham fans were subjected to an attack in Rome before their European fixture with Lazio in November.
