Awol only 3 weeks ago from our board and busy filling the local media print and airwaves with calls for Ashley and Partridge to 'go and go now" they were woeful weeping and bleating on they were going to be relegated.

Now, all of a sudden they are back on our boards giving it the big lad crack and cock measuring competitions. Some, the lowest of low intellectual aptitude, are happy to offer us advise about our team and signings, blatantly ignoring the fact that we are actually above them in the league and in far better form for most of the last 3 months.

I won't tar all barcodes with the same brush, as some of them offer some witty insightful comments on here but we can all distinguish between good lads and cock munching craa ****wits.

2 wins have in their mind suddenly transformed them from guaranteed relegated status into Man Utd challengers (in their minds only) .

Rather than simply ignore them, I fancy our best retort would be to advise a glance at the league tables and the reality of their true status.

14 games to go and I won't be taking advice or accepting comment from embarrassing seasonal flops like the craas that's for sure.:D

You only sing when you're winning.

I remember the days of 606 on the BBC. There was one season when Sunderland mustered 15 points and the Mackem fans simply disappeared from the 606 site. As for fans of my team, well I'm sure we've all had enough disappointments over the years to not shout the odds.

There's a long way to go yet though Cest and I fear the mags latest signings especially sissokho (spelling)? May unite them and they will have a stronger finish to the season. Let's face it, they couldn't do any worse. I hope I'm wrong but this may come back to bite you in the arse.

This, unfortunately. They've bought well in the Jan window and it shows. The way we are playing atm, I can see them finishing a good 5-10 points above us.

Football fans are forever fickle. I, for one, am particularly bad at the old knee jerk. There are twelve games left this season. As I said before whoever finishes highest really has nothing to gloat about. The difference between 9th and 10th or 12th and 13 is negligible (I think there will only be a single position difference between us)

Did have to laugh at Tash saying 'Cisse actually has 3 in 5 games as he had 2 wrongly disallowed on Thurs'.

    Genius.

Fans being fickle is one of the few guarantees in football imo, when you do well the manager and team are great, but a few games without a win and then they're both ****e

Hey guys to be fair, between our two clubs we've 100,000 fans turning up regularly for matches and neither has won anything for years. We may all be a bit fickle sometimes but I can't think of many other clubs who can call on such passionate and loyal support.

Not a classic season for either of us. No silverware (there's no chance we'll win the Euro as there are plenty of teams in it who are better than us and also take it seriously) and finishes between 8th (at best) and 17th (at worst). Finally thinking we wont get relegated, though there's not much in it, so hopefully no harm done in the long run.

I think its fair enough to be a bit fickle. For me football is an outlet, an escape from problems or stresses elsewhere and, heaven forfend, actually some enjoyment. When things are going great I don't gloat but when things are going badly I don't comment as much for no reason other than I prefer not to dwell on it. Its not a very good escape if its bloody depressing!

Anyhoo, here's to a better second half to the season for both of us. I think we'll climb above you and then fall behind again in the next few weeks and come the end of the season there'll only be a handful of points between us at most. At least you're not cockney bastards.

And the replies from certain quarters reflects perfectly the scum elements from the darkside and the good lads.

The same scumbags that go awol while the decent ones keep contributing good stuff.

Luckily I am here to keep the balance.

I'm still erring on caution despite the January signings and two good results, because that's all it is at the moment. We are still way too close to the relegation zone for my liking. We have some massive games coming up against Saints & Wigan that will be vital in the relegation battle (not the kind of thing I was hoping to say at the start if the season).

We've both got more to play for than general football fans would believe. The battle of which of us Finnish highest in the league is very much on and it's a battle I embrace and I'm very much looking forward to the banter. So instead of telling each other to **** off, just invite it on.

The Bar codes think they're it at the moment but wins bring confidence. Don't worry though lads as the wheels will fall off up the road. Take all the French for example. They'll unite for themselves not for the team, as time goes by Pardew will no doubt alienate one of these players, that or fatty Ashley will sell one and upset the group. Mass exodus is always a very real possibility.

Add that to Ashley's greedy pocket lining ways and a manager (**** one at that) who's on an 8 year contract for no other reason than to pay off gambling debts tells me it's a very volatile club that should be handled with care. Cue thousands of mags in the stands baying for blood after a couple of losses cause lets face it, that's what they do, they're contenders with two wins and then down with the establishment when they lose a couple.

Both teams fans are ****ers for shooting ourselves in the foot with pressure from the stands. That's why I'm glad we're extremely stable where as them lot have ticking time bomb written all over the club. can't wait for them to blow. fickle arseholes.

Hear the same **** time and time again, we will sell our best player, we lose this one that one. Mate, that's football and it will never change. We will lose players, we will sign replacements. Just like you will do. Ticking time bomb, na wouldn't go that far, there is always a **** up from the board round the corner but in a professional sense, we must be one of the better run clus in the league at the minute.

Eh, don't think so. However, had the squad been strengthened before the season began like it was in January then fifth place may have been a possibility again.
