If you'd kept some of your players like rvp, fabregas, nasri, hleb, clichy .. sure there is more too, you'd be demolishing teams. You don't have the funds to buy big. You've replaced world class with above average. You're defence is ****e I'd give you that. But you still to the most part play quite slick football you just lost too many top players and Didnt replace them.
A few years ago his hands were tied, but now the situation is very much of his own making. Arsenal have more money in the bank that any other club, make bags of profit, and are still selling as much as they buy. Wenger's just too tied to the idea of buying unknowns like Vieira and Henry and turning them into world beaters. It worked ten years ago, but just doesn't work now. They made £30 million odd quid last year, and yet all they do in the summer is buy replacements for players who leave and thus just keep treading water. Wenger could have kept RVP, Nasri and Hleb, and probably Song, Vieira and Henry if he'd wanted to, but seemed to be happy just to let them leave. Had SAF been in charge those players would have played for the club until the day they hung their boots up. Completely agree. It's the attitude you take out of the games as well - once again you've been beaten by a team you should have seen off with ease, and once again Wenger's in the press conference shrugging shoulders and going "We lost one game, we made lots of chances but they defended very well, blah blah blah". Same old BS, nothing to make the players sit up and take notice or change their behaviour. He's standing in the press conference saying he doesn't really care about eight years without a trophy, so how does he expect the players to care either? It's a shame in a way - imo he's one of the top three managers of the last 30 years in England, but he's turning into Brendan Rodgers a little bit more every day.
Well, games at OT so regardless of what competition it is we shouldn't be okay with them winning their!
Winning and losing turns into a habit. Look at what happened to the miserable scousers. They have now developed some mental block about any team in the top 10. They just bend over nicely Keep the winning habit at OT I say
“@BBCSport: Danny Mills on @bbc5live: "If you had 11 James Milners in your team every week you wouldn't be far off winning league." #mufc .
Soft, but a bit silly by the Swansea player. He should've just done what West Brom did - let Suarez run himself straight off the pitch without any pressure at all...
