I admit I am old (53) but having had a lot of red wine I am now listening to Dark Side of the Moon and it sounds fantastic and as good as when I first heard it when I was 13. Do you think people will say the same about 50 cents in 40 yrs time?
Each to their own mate, I like all sorts but have many an argument with mates over Pink Floyd as everyone thinks I would like them but I really, really don't. Try this.....
Personally I can't stand rap but I think music is a very personal thing and we don't have the right to condemn another's taste. Will rap stand the test of time? I haven't the faintest idea. Perhaps it's not really supposed to. I love Soca. However in T&T most people can't tell you what the title is of a song on the radio or who's singing it. They don't really care as its the sound that they are listening to now that is important - not what the heard yesterday. If you play a song from say 2 Carnivals ago they call it Old Time!
