... was of course very poor. Very worried about our midfield - it looks very, very weak without Payne, Wright or Jackman. And of course home form in general is a worry. My player ratings: Nelson - 9 - Gills Motm by a long, long way. Kept us in it for most of the 2nd half. Fish - 6 - Some decent forays forward, but partly at fault for the goal Martin - 7 - played alright but for one error. It was definitely not a penalty (early 2nd half), despite what the co-commentator claimed. Barett - 6 - somewhat shaky for him Legge - 4 - Very shakey throughout, and often seemingly out of position Frampton - 5 - Ineffectual but at least vaguely solid defensively Gregory - 4 - can't remember anything good from him, and lost the ball to enable them to score their goal Lee - 6 - below par, but good long throws Weston - 7 - One of the few players to look dangerous Burton 6 - ineffectual with little service McDonald - 6 - ditto Subs: Whelpdale - 6 - Was ok, but Weston should never have come off Kedwell - 5 - put himself about, but to little effect Robinson - not on long enough to rate... didn't really notice him having an impact
Personally I would give Weston lower than you did , he has pace but IMO he does not beat enough players
Steve if you think Fish deserves more than Legge and Frampton more than Gregory, I think you need to watch that match again...if you can bare to ! Nelson was a clear best of our bunch followed by Legge & Weston, though no one really deserves any praise other than Nelson keeping the score down.
