    Wow, I posted twice

What I meant to put was that this showed a lack of intent, it showed lets go for a draw rather than a win, i wouldn't mind losing if we tried to win rather than sit back like we did, We need to learn a lesson but clearly it's like algebra and taking it's time to set in

It's like (expletive) Groundhog Day watching us at the moment. We were so good in the first half. Solly and Wilson outstanding and Fuller a right handful, JJ battling all the way through and that's Dervite's best position. They're a better side than us with more technically gifted players and maybe the best keeper outside the Prem, but there's no reason we should have lost that game. We were getting well battered but holding up, then just like last week, pop pop and we're dead and there's no way back. Charlton fans magnificent throughout. Could you hear us on the commentary?

    Certainly could. <ok>

We were better for 65 mins we lost cos we didn't take our chances shoulda been 3 0 halftime it wasn't thats why we lost they have a natural final scorer in Murray.
But better than us today nope.
If zaha is a 15m player solly is 25m

We got punished for not taking our chances. We were the better team but sadly we didn't get the result. I'm hurt more than angry

what annoys me the most is that we dont fix the easy to see issues that we have. our midfield has no pace and can never keep up the work they can do for an entire 90 mins.

i know we've just come up, but substitutions at the right time coulda turned losses in to draws and draws in to wins. we should be 8th or 9th by now.

Just got back! So annoyed we've let a 1-0 lead slip again no way we deserved to lose that today should of been out of sight before palace even had a sniff at goal :/

Shouldn't of taken Waggy off ...we were winning when he went off and within 5 mins of that we were losing

Had one or two runs didn't do a lot to be honest though to be fair he came on n we conceded two in four mins just after his entry to the fray.
For 3/4 of the game we were excellent was men against boys solly did one tackle on zaha bobby more like.
Zaha and bollassi did nothing waggstaff excelled too

I don't think our midfield ran out of energy, we just went too deep once palace stepped up.

Text from my mate who attended:

Very disappointing should ave bin 3 or 4 up half time and game over. Treated like animals afterwds. All 3000 kept in road after then herded 2 miles 2wds station. Cars houses bikes and gardens trashed and broken, fights with police. Very unpleasant

I agree with that, but we were getting overrun, they were unlikely to change that, maybe open us up even more. Very difficult. Both sides of it hold weight.

Maybe looking back, Stephens might have injected some albeit weakish energy & composure

It's margins if Jackson and corts headers had gone in game over...they didn't we paid the price it had nothing to do with tactics at all it's missed chances .
We got it spot on but failed to score more than 1 Fuller looked the £15 m striker not zaha

Well after losing a game we should of won so thoroughly pissed off we leave the ground to be confronted by the whole met police force and steel riot barriers, then get here's 2 miles around south Norwood to the station met by barking dogs riot police on every corner.
Some of the coppers Definately up for confrontation...treat em like animals behave like animals and some did a minority yes but if the after match policing had been normal there would of been less trouble without doubt.
Of course our £34 to attend that **** hole went towards the cost of this over excessive policing

From jimbos mates account sounds as though a few of our support didnt cover themselves in glory after the match. Over heavy policing will always create problems and without doubt a few of the coppers volunteered for the shift because they were looking for an afternoon of "fun".
Result dissappointing and have just heard CPs comments on the Steve Claridge self promotion show. Many on here and other forums have been calling for decisive substitutions. Some only yesterday were calling for wiggins and evina on the left. When that happened the balance was disrupted and we let in two. Previous week no subs till 90 and we let in two.

Its not easy to get it right.

I wonder how much of the over-enthusiastic police presence was prompted by the empty posturing of the Brain Dead Red Division and their equally intellectually challenged Palace counterparts? Just a thought.

I was knocked over by a police horse's a*se hitting me in the head outside Selhurst once, the bloke behind me wasn't so lucky, he got his foot trodden on and had to be stretchered away.

Worst policing I ever saw was outside The Goldstone when we'd just lost 7-0. A group of us saw a police dog barking about a foot away from a little kid's face - he was just frozen to the spot and several of us grabbed him and got him clear, when his father remonstrated with the handler, he got arrested. Nasty.

I did say I'd like to see Evina and Wiggo on the left at some point, don't know if anyone else did. So if The Doctor read my post and acted on it I have to hold my hands up.:emoticon-0105-wink:

I think we have all thought that this would be something to try. Experimental pairings are for starting a match so that you can change back to tried and tested if it goes wrong, not for a day when the hostiles are bombarding you.
Did anyone notice the foul on morro in the build up to their first. Looks like he either had a finger or a forehad into his eye and was
struggling for vision. While trying to see where he was going found himself out of position.

Can put this one down to experience -definitely something to be learned.

Policing was a joke. We got escorted from the moon and stars in penge and they tried to dictate our route!

Still hurt from the result. Lots of positives but it doesn't change the fact we lost a game we should have won. Stephens should have started, not sure why he was dropped seeming he's come in to his best fun of form with us.
