Does anyone know what Jackson is like because i have got to admit i know nothing about him and with P.buckingham saying we were making a late bid to get him in i am wondering if we will go back and have a go at getting him in
He stated on tv that he felt he was to old to be going out on loan in between seasons anymore. He said he needs the time off to recover or he will not be fit to play with LA once the season starts again.
1. He can't go to a PL team. Only FL teams can loan players in the emergency loan window, but I do recall something about goalkeepers in the PL, but not too sure. 2. FL teams can only loan from English clubs, someone mentioned this in another thread that got onto emergency loans. Probably should have been the other way round but I'm sure everyone will get the general idea.
FFS you going by helicopter or what? RAC route planner says 187.12 miles, 3 hours, 51 minutes and that is on a straight run with none of the known holdups
He'd be a good addition if we could - I hear we are linked with George Boyd in the Sunday People (not that I trust said publication)
I thought Simeon Jackson was our plan-B on transfer deadline day. All the messages coming out of the club, Burnsey and Buckingham was that we had someone in mind other than DJC, then at about 7pm all that changed and it seemed like we were done for the day. That came at pretty much the moment that Celtic said that they were not interested in letting Hooper go to Norwich. Given that Norwich can't now bring anyone in, if they've kept him in their 25-man squad, I very much doubt he'd be going out on loan.
I think we'll take Boyd and have a look at him playing off a striker with a view to first dibs at a perm in summer. We need to be looking and a replacement for Koren, he won't have the legs forever.
Boyd would add a bit of experience and leadership too our young squad which could prove useful. Him and a striker would give us good strength in depth
