Seriously, speaking to some mates last night about our three Egyptian loanees and my mates are going to the Millwall match and travelling down today. They are looking to buy some Egyptian flags for the game, they know our new signings are not playing (although Elmo probably will) but presume they will be travelling with the club. Is anyone else in favour of this or planning this? This is a bit too much for me - and am pleased I'm working on Saturday therefore can't travel and sitting out the flag showing!
Surely they can come over now on holiday visas as guests of the club until their work permits are through to start training etc?
One would think so, but the club said on the website that they wouldn't be joining tell next week so that checks out.
If that is the case I don't think I'll let them know - however it is the HDM that state they wont be there which means its more likely that they will -

Don’t know if anyone has noticed but our three Egyptian’s names (Elmo, Fahty and Gedo) run in an alphabetical sequence, i.e. E, F, G. Elmo and Gedo sound really ‘cool’ names but Fahty? I’m not sure of the correct pronunciation but if it is pronounced Farty like Humberside are saying (and sniggering about) then he needs a new name, if only to stop knob heads supporters in the away end giving him a hard time. I recommend that we call him Fairo (get it?) Then we would have Elmo, Fairo and Gedo.
If fans can really make a difference to what happens on the pitch, how would you get behind 3 Egyptian players?
Speaking of which, I'm guessing Omar Sharif feels a bit less special now that we have several Egyptian followers (although he's still probably the only Egyptian to call up the automated scoreline to find out City's results)
I dunno about flags, but i expect the joke shops and fancy dress places will run out of Pharaoh costumes and Fezes
Geddo's already made some alterations to his home before setting off... please log in to view this image
Their signing was predicted by the ancient Egyptians many years ago, here's a picture from the inside of one of the pyramids that foretold of the signing: please log in to view this image I've actually got an Egypt shirt and other memorabilia from when I watched some football over there a few years ago, not that I'd wear them to a match though.
I bought 5ft egypt flag off ebay last week when the deal was first mentioned on king tut site... will have it at the KC for home games and no doubt others will..
