Mentioned this yesterday in thread and was told not to worry and that our club is part owned by one of the richest men in the world.... LaLa Land me thinks.
I think many fans have put their roller coaster blinkers on and are gripping the sides hoping for the best, but are we actually gambling the clubs very existence to try and stay in the Premier League? If this is the case it's simply not even nearly worth it.
If Samba is to earn £100K a week that's nearly 3500 fans though the turnstiles simply to pay his wages....
I admire what TF and the board have done and continue to try and do, the financial input has been incredible, the money received from PL status has no doubt funded many of our acquisitions and massive wage bill, but after today's transfers end you have to look at it and wonder WTF is happening with the accounts.
I doubt the Mittals have put anything in recently, with a 20% holding why would you, Amit seems remarkably quiet this season, TF would appear to be bankrolling the lot and all it takes is some troll on twitter to make him consider the wisdom of this.
One day our owners will decide to walk away, will we be left with massive debts and a wage bill equivalent to the GDP of a small country? I have no idea, there doesn't seem to be a lot being said about the method of funding coming into the club, and no one seems too interested in asking.
In my experience this does not bode well, TF seems like a great guy, i don't see how anyone could not like him or appreciate what he has done, but the devil is always in the detail and TF didn't get where he is today by being a thoroughly nice chap.
How long will he continue to divert his private wealth into the pockets of over paid, over rated, under performing footballers who seem happy to take his money and provide very little in return and yet still refer to themselves as professionals? In no other aspect of his business life would this be acceptable and some of the events of the last year must have hurt him and made him question is entire involvement in football, i can't help but watch the transfer events of today with equal amounts of excitement and trepidation.
