Thanks Andrew, no I have never been to Alexandria, but I have a terrific photo' of my Father in his uniform sat with 2 friends on, I think is the the harbour wall during World War 2. I am trying to pursuade my wife to visit Egypt, Museum Pryamids etc.
My father had his fortune told during the war at the Sphinx they told him he would be married before the end of the war and then have a son, all came true.
 
Big welcome Andrew,you will no doubt have picked up on the Hull sense of humour during this thread. All the jokes and banter are harmless ( even Bullshit Mans...I think) but welcome anyway. If the two Egyptians do actually arrive and do well I guess we'll hear a lot from you.
 
Still think this is bollocks. Nothing from our side and as I've said several times now, it was rubbished by a club official. Plus Bruce only ever said he was interested in one Egyptian after the Peterborough game. All this speculation has come from that interview which in turn came from a rumour started on the messageboards. Hope I'm wrong but I think this is a massive red herring.

You mean that interview with Ahly club officials, the players themselves, the post on Ahly's official website, the players agents....

This is about as much bollocks as my missus' fanny...

No I didn't mean that. It's all from their side though, does no one else think it's suspicious that our club know nothing about these transfers?

You mean the same way Steve Bruce's agent knew nothing about him coming to us the day before he signed at which time it was revealed discussion had been ongoing for 6 weeks?

There's normally some little titbits though. You get something from the club along the lines of "we're talking to them, be patient, bla bla bla..." With this 'deal' Bruce has actually said out in the open that he only has an interest in one Egyptian and even that one was a long way off being a deal. And once again, I was told by someone involved in our transfers that this isn't happening.
 
Kingfut.com reporting that work permits have been approved for Fathi and Gedo, so expect that to be announced alongside DJ Campbell. Somebody call security at DJ's hotel and tell them Holloway's been streaking through the foyer.

Think there might be a couple more surprises for us though. We still need to shift some people out, Stewart, Ollie, Cullen and maybe Rosenior if Elmo is coming back.

Yeah but that was two weeks ago. I guess the club weren't sure about work permits so didn't release the information in case it raised false hope (there's probably be a better reason). They're coming in, I expect it will be announced in the next hour or so.
 
I think the Club - SB, Papa and Baby Allam - are like the proverbial 'oysters with lock-jaw'. Nothing has been leaked; it's all been rumours and whispers from elsewhere - not commented on by our side.

Frustrating as it is for us fans, it makes a lot of sense from a business point-of-view.

Similar to when Pearson was here, but with one big difference. At least when Bruce is asked about something he says as much as he can and is honest. Pearson would say "no absolutely not" and an hour later its on the official website <laugh>
 
No absolutely not is what i had to say on thé murder she wrote attraction at universal studios, then I fell down a lift shaft.
