Doesn't matter if he's from Newcastle or New Zealand, as long as he's representing my club I'll always be behind him.

We are all in a win win situation, if he fails then we were right, devious horrible geordie etc etc, if not and he scores and produces displays then we win and start to climb the table :)

Well I will get 100% behind him, I never had a problem with his Newcastle roots, I just thought we should sign a better player and a different type of player. Gyan, Bent and Welbeck to Fletcher, Graham and Wickham........

mmmmm I am not sure? lets hope MON knows what he is doing and they bang the goals in. As I said they get my 100% backing I just hope the Newcastle haters give him some time.

Where did I say he's the best signing ever? I don't think he's going to set the world alight either and would much rather we signed someone who hadn't bad-mouthed us before. Don't think I'm over the moon with this signing because I'm not. But I'll give him a chance and cheer him on because if he does well it means our club is doing well.

All I'm saying that suggesting it will be your last season supporting SAFC because of one signing is a completely ridiculous idea.

I always support Sunderland pal but with signing players like Danny Graham & O'Neill style of play I give up. it will save me over 400 pound to.

I'm right behind the lad as I've stated before going to back him till he gives me reason not to.Him and fletch will be a good partnership think we will play 2 up front now can't see graham leaving there bench for ours.A RB and cb for me now and I will be a happy man.

Come & call me a freak right now. am right outside of the hasting hill pub little boy. am 27 years old & I would rip you in half. bring on the Arsenal game because this geordie cu** is getting it.

What is he getting exactly?? He'll get full support from me and most others on here - he may not be what we wanted but he is a Sunderland player - tell me what point there is giving him a gobfull? what will it tell the team that the fans think about the manager? Do you think it's good for "Sunderland AFC" to boo our latest signing? I certainly don't - He'll get the full suypport and I hope most people aren't idiots like you who don't give a **** about the club and have their own little personal vendettas

As he is now a Sunderland player he will have my full support until he gives me reason to think otherwise.

I hope MON plays him and Fletcher together upfront.

Ah now you have hit on it..

He won't, so just what does this mean?

What could he play now?

And please nee ****er say 'well, Sess should play wide' maybe he should, but that ain't gonna happen either...

I agree, seems unlikely he will play 2 upfront judging by recent history but let's wait and see.

What a fuc**** joke this signing is. No ambition at all. Last season for me now. Bye bye sunderland.

I doubt this signing will get the juices flowing of many fans...but we ARE fans of this club. Player and managers come and go...US the fans stay...for life. If you are pissed off at at this and maybe other signings in the past, I doubt you are a true fan. Its the shirt and all that stands for you follow sometimes..not whose wearing it.

As ever flanders a quality post.

As for the first one. Oh dear.

I'm not too thrilled at this but it was obviously going to happen so I've accepted it now.

Graham is a decent footballer imo and that's not a problem but he has many bridges to build.

I have a sour taste in my mouth from the Chopra and especially Clark incidents, so you'll forgive me for not exactly getting all teary eyed over another mag lover arriving on wearside.

However, the lad has the opportunity to paint his own future here and reestablish the balance. He could help erase the stench of Lee CLark here and change certainly my perceptions.

I think he has shown some ****ing huge balls signing for us after Tuesday night and part me respects him for that. I didn't boo then and will be pretty pissed off at anyone who does from now on. He's a Sunderland player now and him failing means the club failing.

He will be afforded every opportunity to succeed here and its up to him now to woo us. We in turn must support him, whatever our initial feelings and that includes me.

Good luck Danny Graham. I'm having £10 on him scoring Saturday now. Lol

I was born in Grindon but now live in hasting hill you mug. pennywell is a dump & by the way I run my old mans security company you idiot. now run along little boy.

Oh so you have a job, security Guard at Toys R Us is it? Im sure you are lying anyway.... Go back into the hole you came out of. We are here to support Sunderland, not slate us at any given opportunity like you.

Decent player who could bring balls down and feed Fletcher. That said, you don't seem to have much luck when it comes to hiring Geordies!

He's no Messi, but he's an intelligent player with decent balls skills and a respectable scoring rate. Links well and could help bring Fletch into games more when the wide men and Sess are a little disjointed, as they have been most of the season. I don't think this is a bad signing and he could prove to be an asset leter in the season. All this virulent anti-DG stuff is just twatty, though, whatever happens.
