Holtby could be the creative player in my opinion. Some people were RT'ing stats on twitter last night and apparantly he was in the top 3 assist makers so far in the Bundesliga. Not sure about Bale as a striker though, he's what I call the "perfect winger" and I'd rather we keep him where he'd done the most damage. Of course there's a possibility he could become an amazing front man but he's known as probably Europe's best winger I'd say so I'd rather he stayed there with hopefully a top striker coming in to strenghten us. Gonna be an interesting 2/3 days that's for sure!
careful what you say about panto's. If we don't get our act together in this window, we're going to be the biggest laughing stock. and that's saying something ,after what we've witnessed from other clubs this season.
dont disagree with that at all. just trying to think on the lines of AVB based on what we've seen. interesting 2-3 days? don't get your hopes up mate. It's just let down after let down.
If AVB sees Bale as a striker ( which he has done for Wales ) then Sunday would have been a perfect opportunity to start. And if he would have done it at half time it would have been very effective as Leeds would not have been prepared with their doubling up on him. As he didn't, I don't think he will now. Can we still still recall Kane? He might be better than 'no striker'.
it's true B&W, but lets not forget that Sig and Dempsey both started. (2 other options we've used in the "wing" positions. (and i use that terms very loosely)) with both of those players starting as our "striker/s", Bale had to play on the left, to get the most out of our natural game.
latest from the twits. Negredo talks have taken place, Hooper is an option as well as 3 others. Apparently a lot of players are now being offered by agents.
The question is are Spurs actually looking to sign a striker or is it just the media and us assuming that we ought to be.
No one knows anything apart from the ITKs who either know that they're making it up or that there is actually someone working at the club risking their job to give them information. Does anyone else think Danny Graham would make a very acceptable signing? Okay just me then but I think he offers us something different and at a decent price.
I haven't actually seen anything in the media since Damiao. - there's been the odd bulshit report, but he twits have been going on about Negredo and a few others for days now, but I havent seen the media have the same reports. I honestly don't think that the media have got any idea this time round. They even appear to have run out of bullshit.
number 23 eh? well, he's taken a number that means a lot to me, so he better impress! sorry YV, I just can't take spending 5.5mill on a player who can't get into swansea's team and is being looked at by Norwich and Sunderland. It's another "bargain basement" signing that'll turn out to be a waste of money, IMO. We're top 4 contenders now and must be looking for that extra bit of quality.
I think that Graham's a decent striker, but he's not what we should be looking at. He's not a step up from what we've got, he's not exceptionally cheap and he's not particularly young, either. We need to either buy somebody that could be an improvement from Defoe and Adebayor, a very cheap stopgap or someone with potential, in my opinion.
It wouldn't surprise me if young Mr. Holtby is closely questioned about any possible unearthed gems that may be laying undiscovered in the Bundesliga. Probably too late for this window, but summer, maybe.
report from the Daily Star. I'm actually sick of the guy's name and never wanna hear it again. it's never going to happen. someone else in europe can have him and we'll be able to see whether he makes it, or fails. then whoever said he'd fail can say how right they were right, and who ever says he'd be amazing for us, can say how we missed out again.
