Have watched most of Barca's games this year, and every time Villa has played, he has been excellent. But, because Barca want to fit Cesc into their team, Villa is not going to be first choice. So, if rumours about him wanting to quit are true, then hopefully we can can get him. With Podolski,Walcott,Giroud and Villa, we would have four players that can offer us so much goals.
Actually Yes. I think it would address the two biggest issues with our team. 1. We need a permanent physical presence in midfield. Somebody who can support the CB's when we need to defend. (they dont have to be a traditional DM as such but they do have to be able to defend - Diame could be a good option. The guy has alot of potential) 2. ..and more sharpness up front. We are scoring plenty of goals as it is but against the better defences we struggle. Carzorla and Wilshere are creating a '****-ton' of chances every game,David Villa would have a field day playing in front of those two.
The wages being mentioned seem a bit high, but he has shown in his career that he is a "winner". It's risky but if it's not too long of a contract it's worth it IMO.
http://goonertalk.com/2013/01/28/ar...l-struggling-to-offload-high-earner-squillaci At least he is ****ing off in the summer, I suppose. So that's him and Arshavin that we can offload in the summer. Two of the biggest wasters at the club.
Guillem Balague has reported that Barca have apparently told him that they have no intention of selling Villa
Im familar with cause and effect as a concept.. You are suggesting the mopey bastards are now causing the haemorrhaging of soft arse goals. Interesting viewpoint.
If we sign David Villa, i will rip out my own kidney and eat it. That's how sure i am that Wenger wouldn't go for it.
Galatasaray have signed Didier Drogba from Shanghai Shenhua, the club announced to the Turkish Stock Exchange.
