Aslong as they are a progression of what we already have and the team ethos is not affected then who cares.. We all strive for the same goal at the end of the day.

See this just makes it seem like NC is picking players...not the manager.

Coutinho is an excellent player, but just a tad worrying that we're spending big money on players.

Just worried about having a team of egos like at QPR and it not working!

No, it makes it seem like Pochettino is picking his players.

Forren was his choice it seems, and Coutinho would certainly be.

On the continent it is much more the case that a committee decides who is bought and sold, unlike how it is traditionally done in England where the manger has all the say (within reason). Since we are being modelled on the continental way of doing things, I think it is fair to presume that we have a committee also (most likely Les Reed, Cortese and the manager). I am personally happy with this, seeing that Les Reed has been one of the most respected coaches in England for several decades, and that Cortese is a ruthless businessman.

OK seven day's to go. How many are we going to bring in. I still think a couple but time is ticking. Let's hope they have filled a couple of spare seats on the plane coming home!

Without being rude, this makes you sound like another saints fan who can't see the vision. Mediocrity is a thing of the past.

You can start to worry we will be like QPR when we sign a load of journeymen with big egos like Barton, Bosingwa, Zamora, etc

I have to say I don't mind us spending large amounts of money (and salaries) on genuine World Class players who are young. In the worst case scenario, we'd have to sell them - but we would almost certainly be able to recoup nearly all our money. How much money could you resell Cisse, Barton etc for in the same situation.

Plus when does big money automatically mean big ego? Messi doesn't have a ego problem but would be a big money player

Big egos? If you're referring to Coutinho then he's one of the most humble people around.

Shame we dont look like getting Davide. Had the username change of "Tell me Astori" lined up for weeks now :(

Looks like another no news day and it's probably going to be a very quiet weekend. Could be a real frenzy next week. I see Arry quoted as not been home for 12 days as he's all over Europe. Probably just checking his bank accounts!
