Maybe we should all have some t-shirts printed showing support for either hazard or the ball boys so we know who is supporting who.

T shirt campaigns never fail <ok>

I'm hearing that Charlie Morgan's planning to go freelance with this, his plan is to gain some further experience in advanced ball boying at a few clubs around the leagues, then in time open up an academy/centre of excellence where he can train a current crop of top level practitioners and leave a legacy for the next generation.

His main aim and coaching method will be to develop the art of 'roosting', 'nesting', 'the slow cuddle' and 'the recorded delivery package' where the player must sign for the safe return of the ball; but the term he coined for last night's move apparently is 'the incubator'.

In line with this, he hopes to develop a new kind of ball that when 'incubated' hatches into a mini ball, of the kind commonly given away with soft drinks during the 90s, to further frustrate the player's attempts to retrieve it.

Could you try using punctuation and spacing it would make this tripe so much easier to read Thank you

TBF most of it, I didn't use word count but probably about 60%, was your tripe.
When you talk of how you would be ashamed if it were your club..... You leave us wide open to wums we have had plenty of our own scandals. Eg Carra and the coin throwing incident. Are you ashamed of Carra?

I have just sat and watched an interview on bbc breakfast with pat nevin about the hazard incident last night and I am totally disgusted by his attitude.
He absolutely refused to accept that hazard was in anyway responsible. He said the ball boy actions actions were disgusting (!) and basically said that hazard was quite entitled to give him a good kick in the ribs.
Don't know if anyone else saw this but you should try and catch it. It's gobsmacking in its ignorance and bias. He refused to let the interviewer get a word in,accusing the bbc of only showing camera angles that made it look worse than it was and that the ball boy was feigning injury . In fact the camera angle he wanted to see ,when it was shown, makes the incident look worse yet his reaction to it was that hazard had not kicked the boy just the ball.
Shocking.!

in fairness the swansea chairman's cheating little git son was all over tiwtter baosting and such so..... nevin is indeed a crack head....

hazard was an idiot but i guess congratualtions to swansea for wining the cup are in order and agent benitez is doing a fine job for us down the bridge eh <ok>

Depends on the individual. He had the stones to deny a player the ball during a game so you fail to see the sad side of his complete lack of respect, the lack of which that got him the abuse cos Hazard kicked the ball out form under him and made contact, nice simulation from the kid tho<ok> almost like he was looking for it<laugh>

If you don't want 60k abusive tweets don't start fookin with professional players of clubs with over 60,000 fans during a match <ok>

haha, all fair that mate.

Why would he or anyone care about some bellends tweets?

I never understood this, people get really upset about some words on a screen.

2 options

1. Turn said screen off ( words magically vanish )

2. reply to each one in an offensive manner ( wont help matters but is about all twitter is good for )

I'm with you, twitter is for cocks imo.

However, I'm sure if you're the type of person who 'tweets' then 60,000 trolls calling you a twat might feel a bit intimidating.

Tbf 60% of it was my opinion I wasn't saying what you said was tripe..although it may have looked that way just the way it was presented.

On another note this whole incident has overshadowed a larger issue. Weren't Chelsea ****e!!
Can't remember a serious attempt on goal (missed first 15 mins) and they seemed devoid of ideas considering the attacking talent they have. Way to go rafa...doing a grand job.
I should add that Swansea did defend very well from front to back. Michu worked his socks off covering and tackling back.

No he can't, as that's clearly not what happened.

He dived on the ball in order to try & waste time, after having let it roll past him.

It was comical & tbf to the lad they'll have been told to 'slow it down' if Swansea were ahead late on, as it happens at grounds every week!

The video on the Guardian shows the start of the incident: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2013/jan/24/eden-hazard-ballboy-kick-fa-swansea

The ballboy lets it roll past him because it then bounces off the advertising back to him. As he bends down to pick it up, and has his hands on it, Hazard pushes him to the ground.

Hazard has no right to have the ball, and the ballboy is under no obligation to give it to him. Hazard also leaves the field of play without the permission of the referee. The 17 year old behaves like a 17 year old. The professional footballer does not behave like a professonal footballer. I think a 4 match ban would be fine. Case closed.

Spot on!

What I find most amusing is that the ball boy did exactly what 90% (percentages are made up on the spot) of football players do in every damn game. Wastes time. Most players pick up the ball when a free kick is given, walks towards their own goal then throws it back to the opposition. Or even hold onto it whilst another player wrestles it off them. Wasting time and letting their team get into position.

Why are people so quick to condem the kid when their beloved players do the same thing?

Hazard was an idiot, and he should be banned. No one can defend his actions, especially by blaming the boy or saying he was provked or entitled to go for the ball. No excuse. The time would be added on anyway.

Like many have said, Suarez would be crucified for this...

Because the players that do it are involved in the game but ball boys aren't. However, if you want to link it to something then why not the fans when the ball goes into the stands?

Either or. It goes on from most people connected with the game. My point was that people cannot criticise one way and condone the others. It needs to be one rule for everyone, for everything.

I've always said time wasting should be punished so am am very much on that side of the fence.

Check it again you can see he clearly kicks the boy in the ribs with the toe end of his boot. It's like a defender claiming he got the ball after going through the other player.

No you can't, because he doesn't.

Fair enough, Hazard shouldn't have done it and was rightly sent off, but don't be so blinkered that you can't see what is plain as day. He catches him with his shin pad.

Gentlemen your looking at it from the wrong perpective, I mean it was an expert performance from our Ball Lad , after feeling the initial contact he was entitled to go to ground, then, expertly shielding the ball, he intelligently drew the foul from Hazard, leaving the ref with no option. I hope if we do go into Europe that we can hang onto him!
