Hazard got sent off for assaulting a ball boy. The ball boy wasnt rushing to give the ball back but Hazard pushes him over onto the ball. Practically pins him down and kicks the ball but catches the ball boy in the ribs. The Chelsea players knew he did wrong because they went over to the ball boy. Hazard had a smug grin on his face until the ref sent him off. Twat to the ref for having the balls to do it
Before I say anything. Hazard shouldn't have done what he did. He shouldn't have gone after the ball. Secondly, your comments regarding what he did are Bollo%%%. He didn't push him over. He rushed to follow the lad and went for the ball. The lad then rolled over to protect the ball from Hazard. In the split second that unfolded, Hazard clearly with frustration then tried (incorrectly) to retrieve the ball by kicking it from underneath the lad (Slumped on top). Happend quickly. Nothing more. The kids knew what he was doing. Hazard shouldn't have been there. Period.
@BBCSporf: BREAKING: Swansea FC ball-boy confirms he will be calling 'Injury Lawyers 4 You' after being injured by a Hazard at work.
Dear me Proud, what on earth are you talking about? The kid lied on the ball, he was being a twat, Hazard shouldn't have kicked him, but he knew exactly what he was doing and he was quite possibly the worst child actor I've ever seen. Check out his Twitter feed, he was bragging about time wasting before the game.
Doesnt matter. That kid is a minor. It would be like kicking Charles Hazard deserved what he got. If you was that kids parent you would be livid. I expect the Police will look into it
@SkySportsNews: South Wales Police are investigating an incident involving Eden Hazard and ball boy following complaints #SSN @talkSPORTgeoff: If Eden Hazard had done that outside a bar, right in front of police, on a Saturday night he'd get nicked. So no sympathy for him at all.
They'll do nothing, a kid did something stupid, a player did something stupid, a kid pretended he'd been shot, it was completely pantomime. Fluff and nonsense.
The kid and his dad met with Hazard, Terry and Lampard after the game, all shook hands, no police action, common sense prevails.
There was no reason for Hazard to put his hands on him and certainly no need to kick the ball from under him, when there was every chance he'd catch the child. He also could have trod all over him when he leaped him too. Hazard, like so many top level players, can't handle the possibility of defeat. No doubt the kid sold it like a good 'un, but who wouldn't? Hazard should know better. The ref's in charge of keeping order, not Hazard.
What a ****. Both of them were knobheads but if that were my son I wouldn't be shaking hands with him.
Pre Planned Cheating by Swansea Ball Boys as admitted by the Ball boy on Twitter pre kick off .. If it had been done against our teams we would have been hopping mad . Ball boy pretended he was hurt but that's what premier league footballers do all the time .. Pleased Swansea won though ..,
AH should´nt of done it BUT **** the **** of a ballboy, he´s there to retrieve the ball asap but he thought he´d be a **** & he got what he deserved. Typical little ****s of today. Well done Swansea btw it´s about time a team from Wales won something (yes they´ll beat BCFC) The FA don´t want the sweaty socks in our league but the sheep ****ing leaks are allowed ? never understood that. Hazard you naughty boy
The 'boy' is not a minor - he is 17 years old and the son of a Swansea director - we have lads fighting for their country on foreign climes that are younger than this kid. What Hazrd did was wrong - as a professional he should know better, but his frustration is understandale - this was not isolated, the Swansea ball-boys had a concerted plan (the kid had even 'published' his intent before the game on Twitter) - but that's all fine - why would you expect them to do otherwise in the circumstances - at Stoke the ball-boys (girls) used to all have towels to dry the ball in preparation for the Rory Delap skud missile throw-ins (towels not in use for opposition throws!) Hazard should have turned to the ref for help and the ref should perhaps have dealt with the time wasting earlier. As it is, he let his frustration get the better of him - did a stupid thing and will be punished for it - but he is not that much older than the ball-boy himself, so let's not over-react. I took harder whacks sledging with the kids on Sunday - hang on - can I sue the park?
The last time we played Stoke, Paul McShane refused to take the throw until the ball girl had given him the towel, then when she did, he wiped the ball, then his armpits and the girl wouldn't take it back off him.
17 is still technically a minor, although legal responsibility in this country can be claimed as young as 10. Still can't help thinking I wouldn't have kicked him. If Hazard had just waved frantically and kicked off instead of kicking him, the ballboy would be facing all the flack and not Hazard.
Agreed - but I suspect his argument might be that he was actually trying to kick the ball loose ... not that that mekes any difference ... I'm just irritated that this 'incident' is overshadowing the enormity of Swansea's performance over the two legs - which is tremendous by itself, but also, in my view, absolutely brilliant for our game in general .... i.e Roman's expensively assembled train set has been derailed by a combination of bargain buys and charity shop gems ... 'ave it boyo.
