thats because you dont work in a job where you see these people coming over here and sponging out money like there's no tomorrow.

my mum deals with foreigners everyday who have come here 10+ years ago and have been on benefits ever since.
most of the brits who live abroad do not go there to take from the people of that country, they are self sufficient or work!!!!!!!

I heard two things recently about other football people:

Someone I know very well to be straight without any bullshit, had a meeting recently with an ex-Premier League employee. This meeting took place on the evening that Chelsea lost at home to QPR. During the meeting, the person's phone rang and he took a quick conversation and ended it with "ok Harry, speak later". My mate asked who it was and the person said, "Oh that's Harry Redknapp asking me about a player". My mate then looked up at the TV screen at the venue they were meeting to see it was half time still in the Chelsea/QPR game. He said to the person, "Hang on, but it's half time at Stamford Bridge what was he doing on the phone to you?" The reply was: oh Harry doesn't deal with stuff at half-time, Bond and Jordan will be doing all that"He might be a tosser, by Harry on the phone chasing a player at half-time is quite funny.


2. Anyone know what the alleged reason behind Steve Keane saying Big Fat Sam was a crook? I missed that story, but heard something recently that alleges some pretty horrid stuff about Big Sam and also Kevin Nolan.

 

In every debate I see/hear about the EU, it's just people going on about whether or not we want foreigners in this country. They are, of course, neglecting the fact that we will continue allowing people to immigrate into this country whether we're in the EU or not, because a decent amount of those people are doing their part and we are benefiting from having them here; and also the fact the EU is about far more than just free movement of persons. We're part of an economic and political union that we'd be foolish to leave for so many reasons. If your entire opinion of the EU is based on what you think of immigration, then you should probably do some reading.

 

What about the ones who went out there and could afford to as they were self sufficient .

Now though want to come back here as their " Self sufficiency " ( MONEY ) is under threat ?

They ****ed off when it suited , now it no longer suits they want to come back ?!?!

When we joined, what was then "The common Market" back in the seventies, I was 18 and campaigned as a Labour party student for a yes vote. Back then, there were only about 11 or 12 countries in the common market, and it was basically a free market area, but with controls on farming and farm prices under the Common agricultural policy. All members were at fairly similar levels of industrialisation and GDP per head. Somehwere along the line, and without any plebicite it has transformed itself into a federation of nation states, with more and more control of every aspect of our national life being transferred away from our parliament to a largely unelected EU bureaucracy. Once control of our currency, taxation and legal system passes away from the UK we have a very limited ability to manage our own economy. This can be seen in the recent, and ongoing euro crisis where the weaker economies have been driven to the edge of bankruptcy by an inability to devalue their currency to stimulate growth. This is perhaps not so important when all countries in the EU were at similar economic levels, but as more and more struggling eastern european economies are dragged in, in a mistaken view that enlarging the EU makes it stronger, then the richer countries are expected to pay out more and more to subsidise the ewer, weaker members. In addition there will naturaly be migration from the weaker economies to the stronger. This is OK as long as those coming intend to work and contribute as this makes us all stronger. However, if they are just benefit tourists then that not only weakens our economy, but also theirs as they lose potential workers.

The real problem for many people is that the EU today is not what we voted to join back in the 70's. we are a fiercely independant race of people made up of many ethnic backgrounds, and many are not willing to be lorded over by an unelected group of failed politicians with their snouts in the EU trough.

 

Some don't want to remember that though .

agreed. The UK is a better, stronger country for our willingness to assimilate other nationalities over the years (like the BORG). immigration only becomes an issue when economic times are hard, unless you are a daily fail reader when immiation is always a problem. Of course there is racism, and homophobia in britain, but on the whole we are a very tolerant nation - thank god.

 

I'll defend their right to do that as well. The freedom to be able to go wherever you like is a fundamental human right in my opinion, and should only be restricted if absolutely necessary.

 

I thought there would have to be a referendum if there were any proposals for more powers to go to the EU?

If we do leave the EU, it'd better not affect our part in Eurovision.

 

That may be the one positive to come from a **** decision.

 

EU law has sovereignty over UK law, so our parliament is not allowed to pass into law anything that conflicts with EU law. Not that I have a problem with that.

i have worked minimum pay jobs in different industries. i worked in the agricultural industry doing hard labour for christs sake - so yes, i was willing to do a ****e low paid job because i was desperate and needed money. we need to get out of the eu and stop paying layabout british twats benefits to sit on their arse and not contribute. take children away from these people and bring them up with a good work ethic, then these people will take these jobs. i was brought up properly so if i wasnt educated then i would have been working the sort of jobs that the eastern european lot do and be happy with my lot.

 

if you believe in true democracy then you would hate the eu. they have no mandate - i did not vote for britain to be in the eu, NOBODY DID.
