Philip Buckingham ‏@PJBuckingham Steve Bruce confirms #hcafc are in talks with QPR over a move for DJ Campbell. Sensed he was quietly optimistic
‏@Stuart_Watson BREAKING: Mick McCarthy reveals DJ Campbell will NOT be signing for #itfc. Striker set to sign a 3-year deal elsewhere Is this what the optimism is about? 3 years seems a bit much for a 31 year old though
To be honest, we need a striker... this is our chance. I really don't mind it being a 3 year deal if he does the business for us.
He's reporting what Mad Mick said, rather than putting out a news story. I'm sure he's accurately reported what Mick said, I'm just not so sure that he's right about the deal.
My guess is that a two year deal with the option of a 1 year extension is the more likely deal (should it be us of course)
He will most likely be resaleable after 1 or 2 years into a 3 year deal. The key is not to go for stupid wages.
Missed a trick there Stan...
I'm sick of all this Campbell merry go round, lets talk MacDonald. Now Malcolm was a real striker/fox-in-the-box...sign him up.
please dont sign dj campbell we dont want anyone called dudley in our team. never mind he is 31 never scored more than 13 in a season and has a strike rate of 1 in 4, surly we can do much better
Let's put a stop to all this 'Campbell' argy-bargy!
You pick up all sorts of ****e / rumours / bollox / info (delete as appropriate) on Twitter. Dudley Campbell is apparently in the stands at Selhurst Park today to watch Palace v Bolton.
