Well there is only two weeks left so we shouldn't have to wait long to find out.

 

I'd say it's almost too late!

 

Linked with Christian Alvarez and Joan Verdu from Espanyol, both out of contract end of season according to the independent.

 

Verdu is a good player. Never seen Alvarez.

 

Verdu is one of the obvious potential signings but the fact that his contract runs out at end of the season only means that we either have to pay for him now or hope that we stay up and get him for free next season. Too many ifs or buts i reckon.

 

Don't think anything will happen until after Monday but I would be very surprised if he doesn't bring at least a couple of players in.

I guess we will have to wait and see whether NC is going to back his decision by giving his new man some cash to buy in the players that he wants, to facilitate the aims, we could be in for some interesting speculation and no doubt agents will have a field day creating false rumours. Frankly I haven't a clue what we need because I have no idea about the new guys tactics, it will be horses for courses to fill the gaps, and surely we must unload a lot of deadwood before they can be brought in, we have to name 25 senior players by the end of the month and they have to see the season out.

 

There is still money from the aborted Astori deal...no new manager would come without some assurances about money, though I expect most will be spent in the summer.

 

I still think there could be a couple more coming in. If he's known for a while he was coming players will have been approached.

 

I have a feeling that this new bloke may make one loan signing and come the summer he will bring in all these imports from Spain and that team morale that has been built on will slowly diminish...

 

Yes that's start slagging of the new manager already that will help.

 

Oh what a surprise. RLGB makes an ignorant statement without foundation purely for the sakes of getting his simple childish agenda across. Come on man, if you're gonna post anti-Pochettino (learn his name) rubbish already, at least substantiate it with some reasoning other than "I have a feeling".

I expect at least one more signing this window and then we will strengthen in the summer. We will keep our best players if they fit in with Poch's vision, but we can expect a clearing out. We all know in our heart of hearts that some players will never play again for Southampton.
