Ha, true enough. I'm fairly upset and annoyed by it but some people take it to ridiculous extremes. Saw this on Twitter earlier:

"It's testament to everything Nigel Adkins is that I feel like someone close has died today #saintsfc"

Have you seen the officialsaints facebook page?

I felt really bad when the new broke (and am still very sad about NA), but I moved on quite quickly. Managers get sacked, though still think timing was poor. But just perhaps, Cortese has made a decent appointment. I felt far more upset about relegation, administration and Markus's death.

Damn, that's a little extreme. I'd equate it to getting dumped.

Reading through a lot of these comments, I can't help but feel some of you are ill-equipped for the real world. If you get this upset/angry over a football manager (undeservedly) being sacked, then god knows what you'll be like when you have real problems in your life.

Very true! Everything in perspective!

I admit I did overreact when the news broke but I've since calmed down and though things through. Personally I think this move would have made more sense at the end of the season, that may have been NC's original plan.

Weird decision to get rid of a manager who was starting to adapt to ife in the Prem after achieving back to back promotions. As a Charlton fan, I can attest that it is'nt easy. And Pochettino. He did save Espanyol from relegation in his first season, but they've never movd away from that end of the table and they sacked him this year as they started to nose dive again. Lot of respect to the saints fans on here, but none at all to this Cortese guy. I think e'll regret this one.

Now i have come to terms with our loss <wah>
I have decided i am still fuming at cortese but i will trust him as he hasnt done much wrong in the past, although i am worried that he has to much ambition (sounds strange) i hope he realizes how hard his dreams for us are to achieve and doesn't start swinging the axe to often.

Regarding the new manager, thats where i am more confused cant see how he will improve us, certainly wont have an instant impact, but my biggest worry is the language barrier i cant think of any other manager in the premier league (maybe even the football league too) who cant speak english. But even though i dont think he is a good appointment at the moment i will give him a chance, but i dont think he will get that from most fans.

i am also really sad to lose such a good man in adkins (with a better cv than this new guy i may add) and i wish him all the luck, but it will be painful to see him wearing another teams badge on his chest.

Lastly i am slightly worried about the players it was only a few days ago Yoshida said that he loved adkins and he made the whole squad feel positive and that everyone liked him. So i am worried from some backlash from them. But in the end they may be trying to prove themselves so that may balance it out.

i just hope for the sake of SFC that this decision works out and we can move on under this new guy. i guess the only thing we can do is get behind the players and our new manager and just watch and see how this works out, i think at the end of the year we can decide whether we point the finger at Cortese or take all this hate back. In conclusion lets move bast the disappointment, support out club and enjoy the ride (as there are no highs without lows, so we are deserving one big high <cool>)
