I kinda have to agree CP..... Im was born down south, now live in Manchester... Not only is the lifestyle better, there is a crap load of stuff to do. Stay on topic and not throw out abuse especially when its wrong :(

Not606 used to have actual adult debates... turned into a stupid slagging match forum now.

You are right, but Manchester is not the capital is it, everything outside Cockney land gets **** all, while London gets everything.
But a least up north is were all the real football success is.

Historically i 100% agree. United and Liverpool hands down have been hugely successful, but in the current climate. aside from the fact City and United are leading the PL. I think London teams (Chelsea and Tottenham) have been good and getting better (Tottenham). With United though, northwest region will get consistent success whether that would still be true when SAF leaves remains to be seen, I think United may slide a little for a while. I think the 4 teams to look out for are City, United, Chelsea and Tottenham. Teams like Everton and Gunners always do OK but never quite get their. Liverpool are a few seaosn off.

Listening to Talk Sport tonight, and even your very own Jason Cundy was agreeing with how poor your support is at Stamford Bridge. Your quiet when your winning, and then you boo when your losing. No wonder your home form is so poor. Our home form is very good, because our 75,000 fans get behind the team regardless of if we're losing, that's why we've won so many games from a losing position. Your fans should try it some day.

Your level at 2-2 tonight, and you boo Torres when he comes on, how on earth is that supposed to help your team win the game? Pathetic, beyond belief! Our fans would have been getting behind the team in that situation, that's why it's no coincidence that we score so many late goals

Have you ever been to Old Trafford? Proportianately the lowest away fan allocation. Sometimes 300 away tickets available. TV Mics shoved in front of the most vocal supporters. OT can have a great atmosphere if you're Utd and winning. It's like a morgue otherwise.

As priceless as it is having Yanited fans criticising other supporters and who's wasted the most on transfers really isn't what this thread is about. It's about the media love-in with United and the ridiculous record you have of about 38 televised FA Cup games in a row.

It's not just the media. It's the whole establishment. How many managers have won the European Cup for an English Team? How many have been knighted? Both United managers immediately. Bobby Robson when he was sick and old after years of contributing to football and outside the game.

How does that work?

You mean the away fans?

Have I missed something? That's got nothing to do with what I was saying, has it?

SAF didn't get knighted just for winning the European Cup. He was knighted for his all round services to British football. SAF is the most successful manager that Britain has ever had that's why he was knighted.

So Man Utd don't just control the FA, The TV companys and the media, they now have control of who gets knighted by the queen each year. It's amazing how paranoid our rivals have become

Without the work that Busby did rebuilding the club after Munich that rancid drunken Scottish piece of **** would never have had enjoyed the success they have had.

We were relegated not long after SMB left, and even when we got back up we were not a top side for many years, until SAF came along. We were along way behind Liverpool under Big Ron, we were 12 league titles behind and our squad was poor compared to there's, and the gap only looked like it was going to get bigger. Then along comes the greatest manager of all time, and 25 years later and we've knocked them off there perch

So what exactly is exciting about Manchester United vs Fulham? Fark all. It's probably one of the most boring ties of the lot in the 4th round! Even if it was Chelsea v Fulham.. I would still say that it was as boring as fark!

Look at the other games on TV:

Stoke v Man City (the cup final in 2011 and possibility of a shock)
Brentford v Chelsea (a West London derby, haven't played each other for 60 years and it's a league 1 side against the current Champions of Europe)
Leeds v Tottenham (Well.... two great clubs. An atmosphere that will be electric, Potential cup shock, championship side v top 4 premier league team)
Oldham v Liverpool (Fairly local, a league 1 side vs a premier league side, potential cup shock)

Why we all love the FA Cup is it's abilities to provide cup shocks. Why not have Macclesfield v Wigan on TV instead of United? I'd find it a lot more interesting! Or Norwich v Luton? It's a joke that United are on TV again. It would be understandable if they were playing a lower league team or if they were playing a top premier league team. They are playing Fulham. They will bring about 700 fans. United will struggle to sell out. Dull atmosphere. Cheers ITV <ok>

Oh... and it was nice of Phil Dowd to make sure you got to the next round. A blatant handball missed. But then again... what else did we expect from a ref at Old Trafford? <laugh>

Wouldnt say it was blatant and ours was never a pen either, didnt hear anyone question Downings dive on sunday or anything

"But with United having more arm chair fans than anyone, not a surprise their needs are constantly serviced by TV stations really. How else would Howard Webb get to see the game if he's not picked to ref it?!?!?! "

In the last few games we have had him as ref there hasnt been any contriversy, this is just a myth really

<laugh> Can you feel the hate!
This tops the lot. This post is just wrong on so many levels. Can't even be bothered to go into it.

That would compete with the nonsense you have in your sig! <laugh>

We have found Chelsea fans as bitter as some of the scousers!

Chelsea fans are just bitter, because no matter how much there sugar daddy spends, they will never be as big as Man Utd! The biggest club in England!

There are just some things money can't buy

So good he took the easy option in staying safe where endless amounts of money were at his disposal to manipulate the transfer markets. In fact so insecure is he that unlike the real heavyweights of football management like Jose Mourinho & Rinus Michels who both have won titles in more than one country.

I think you'll find Fergie has won 'the title' in more than 1 country. Far more research required

Scotland is a part of the union you bell-end<doh>

Getting abusive because you've been proved wrong. The English and Scottish leagues are 2 completely different leagues, because they are in 2 completely seperate country's. Look it up?

It would have been far easier to have just admitted your lack of knowledge, but instead you've tried to wriggle, by claiming England and Scotland are the same, making yourself look even more stupid.

After our game against Spurs, 15 of our last 17 FA Cup ties will have been televised by ITV and ESPN. It's no big deal, they just like to show the biggest clubs who they know will get them the biggest excitement and audience share.
