Apart from football, what do people do in Manchester???? In London we have around 20 million people, 12 or 13 teams, and a proper life to live. In Manchester there's around 3 million, 2 teams and bugger all else. Thats why you get 75 mill dead bored and dead boring people. **** all else to do.

London has 19.98 Million immigrants that dont care for football, the rest support Spuds, QPR, West Ham and Arsenal, leaving only 2 fans for the Chavs and they boo there most expensive player.

As priceless as it is having Yanited fans criticising other supporters and who's wasted the most on transfers really isn't what this thread is about. It's about the media love-in with United and the ridiculous record you have of about 38 televised FA Cup games in a row.

And all of a sudden Man United are part of a group wanting to stop ours and City's spending! Only when Man United have their perfect squad do they do this... Beggars belief...

So what exactly is exciting about Manchester United vs Fulham? Fark all. It's probably one of the most boring ties of the lot in the 4th round! Even if it was Chelsea v Fulham.. I would still say that it was as boring as fark!

Look at the other games on TV:

Stoke v Man City (the cup final in 2011 and possibility of a shock)
Brentford v Chelsea (a West London derby, haven't played each other for 60 years and it's a league 1 side against the current Champions of Europe)
Leeds v Tottenham (Well.... two great clubs. An atmosphere that will be electric, Potential cup shock, championship side v top 4 premier league team)
Oldham v Liverpool (Fairly local, a league 1 side vs a premier league side, potential cup shock)

Why we all love the FA Cup is it's abilities to provide cup shocks. Why not have Macclesfield v Wigan on TV instead of United? I'd find it a lot more interesting! Or Norwich v Luton? It's a joke that United are on TV again. It would be understandable if they were playing a lower league team or if they were playing a top premier league team. They are playing Fulham. They will bring about 700 fans. United will struggle to sell out. Dull atmosphere. Cheers ITV <ok>

Oh... and it was nice of Phil Dowd to make sure you got to the next round. A blatant handball missed. But then again... what else did we expect from a ref at Old Trafford? <laugh>

As a neutral(ish), it doesn't surprise me Man Utd games are picked. They have the biggest support base in the country, and let's face it they usually put on a good game of football, same with Liverpool. Whenever my team (Newcastle) are on, it's the most tedious mind-crushing affair you could hope to watch, even if you were a paint-drying afficionado... And we usually lose! I can understand the criticism, though.

Anyway, I don't believe Man Utd to have "better" supporters than Chelsea in terms of vocal chorus anyway. When Newcastle went 1-0, then 2-1, then 3-2 up, there was no atmosphere. It was only after Man Utd scored and were level was there any noise. That's not even a slight, because it's pretty much the same for all stadiums now to be honest, even ours <ok>.

Rumour has it that Man Utd have deployed speakers to play "fan noise" because their support isn't that loud? Is this an urban legend? I can't see why they'd do that!

We hardly ever get a 3 o clock Saturday kick off at home. Ever. This is all hardly brilliant timing.

    ITV is a business.

They play the game that will get the most viewers to increase advertising income.

    Simples.

What ever happened to the 200M you made from the share issue back in the 90's? You must remember,it was just before you went out and broke the transfer record on players <doh>

ITV's sports coverage is ****, ITV is a **** tv company, it's ony I'm a celebrity, crap factor and Britains' got no talent with their rip off fone votes, dodgy competitions with their rip off fone charges that have stopped them going bust and being replaced with a tv company that shows programs people want to watch.

United fans commenting on the support of another club...brilliant. Old Toilet has a crap, prawn sandwich type atmosphere despite being twice the size of most other premier league grounds. Their away following is good, home following crap. Tourists, glory hunters etc. Try a drive down the road to Liverpool to check out real hoime support.

But with United having more arm chair fans than anyone, not a surprise their needs are constantly serviced by TV stations really. How else would Howard Webb get to see the game if he's not picked to ref it?!?!?!

Not606 used to have actual adult debates... turned into a stupid slagging match forum now.
