I agree, I think it's obvious he doesn't want to go to Turkey (can't blame him!) & he's biding his time waiting for a more suitable option to appear.
The nearer the end of the window comes, the more hats will land in the ring for Sniejder imo.
He's got a reputation for being an egotistical twat at times, but his quality on the pitch is top, top drawer.
Personally I'm very surprised that United haven't shown an interest yet.

United cannot spend on yet another 28 yo with no value on a contract and massive wages. RvP has cost them a serious amount including wages, they'll need to win the prem and CL this year to balance that one alone

They fell out a few years ago whilst playing for Holland & there was a bit of a press spat between them.
However, I've never had Ferguson down as a man who'd allow something like that to stop him buying a player that he thought would benefit his team.

True, Cole and Yorke didn't get on but they were a great partnership (or was it Cole and Sheringham?). Guess it depends on how much they don't get on. No point in risking what you have either.

The fee is only £6M so I don't think it's comparable to the RvP deal. Wages are wages irrespective of age.
It was Sheringham & Cole as I remember it. They had a genuine dislike of each other
