West Ham are completely ****e though. Any team with a half decent attack could have beaten United tonight. This isn't exactly a performance to put the fear of God into other teams by United. I think they have only won by being the least worse team.
And Scholes picks up his customary yellow card. Wouldn't be surprised if that had been a red card if it had been a Wet Spam player on a United player.
Wonder if he still feels the same after tonights result! I did not think Pep would come here, Chelsea had no chance, I'm not sure City want rid of Mancini and Pep wouldn't work with Begiristain anyway, and i don't think SAF is retiring in the summer.
Someone will take over at Chavski though Personally I don't rate Pep (sacrilegious I know) but to paraphrase someone we all know 'only a dope could fail at' Barcelona Will the stricter financial restraints in the Bundesliga show him to be a great, or no?
Terrible tackle. Late, forceful, caught him with the trailing leg, nowhere near the ball. Standard Paul Scholes, basically. Thug.
Rooney couldn't miss with his goal and missed a penalty. It was only 1-0,we MUST stand a chance of beating Utd on Sunday after this.
Errrrr.... don't think the team they sent out tonight will resemble this one much Rooney starting perhaps, the rest bench if they are the lucky ones
Even so they only managed a one goal win against less than good Liverpool last week so I stick by what I posted.
Hope you are right Thor (but to be on the safe side, a few lightning bolts aimed at their players on the Cheshire golf courses wouldn't go amiss!)
DB,only as right or as wrong as the next man when it comes to playing Man U. I'm just seeing that we aren't playing badly if stuttering a bit in front of goal and we stand a good chance. As for lightning bolts? You're talking to The Mighty Thor,God of Thunder,I'll sort it ok.
I wasn't talking about the handball, I agree with you were that neither of them should be given. I think it was Reid who got pulled back and then kicked by Smalling in your area but he was the only one that appealed for some reason. Looked a clear penalty on the replay.
Scholes isn't even looking at the ball. Only has eyes on the players leg, content in the knowledge that he will get away with breaking it cos it's only little wee Scholesy and the refs will protect him.
He's jumped into a standing leg, you can see ahead of that tackle where the Spammer is going to plant his foot. Thats a nasty reckless red for me...the challenge is a red card too!
I like the way that his first look at the ball is after he's landed the foul. "Right, I've got him, now where's the ball gone?"
