Knockaert had a knock from training going into the game - Pearson still played him so it can't be that bad
Pearson didnt think he would play at all. He took a knock in training and got another knock in the same place so he took him off. He should be fine for next week At 2-0 up we didnt need to risk Knockaert
Right im going to be a little controversial here. That lineswoman Sian Massey. The one who Andy Gray abused is actually one of the best linos in the prem. Everytime shes on match of the day she gets all the decisions bang on. She got that Stoke offside bang on when it would have been a peno otherwise. Massive decision which she got right
When she was lineswoman in our game v Huddersfield, she was awful, she didn't even know what way to put her flag!
In fairness its hard to judge refs sometimes when your time is involved as you will always be biased.
No. Linesman get decisions right all the time. Its just because she is a woman so MOTD highlight all the correct ones - they dont do that for anyone else.
But if she was on par with most Championship officials (ie awful) then, as a woman, she'd be dropped like a stone. She has to be good to silence the critics who think she doesn't belong.
What, no mention of Faye's horror tackle (which, incidentally, was worse than Kompany's yesterday, which received a red)? Balanced reporting. Under the radar my arse.
I think this weekend as really got the Hull fans worried. Some are admitting they think we'll finish above them, others are giving their feelings away with the negativity and unpleasantness. The Boro match is a true test of our promotion credentials though. Win this and even the doubters and cautious types will start to believe!
Lets hope that we can continue what we are doing, Friday isn't a "must win", but it would be nice to continue our form and get into those auto spots. Will give Hull a job to do on Saturday if the game goes either way.
This is true. If it was a man who made that call, they would say "He got the decison correct, well done.", and not really emphasised it. Can anyone give me a name of a linesman?
Top marks for the linesman
Someone on FoxesTalk says he's a Leicester fan and used to post there. In other news, it's all good up in Leeds for Colin http://www.hullcityindependent.net/?page=news&news_id=1117
In all fairness, I've never thought that we'd be able to sustain a top 2 spot. It's quite handy to be as we are at the moment though in regards to final position. Now only if things went catastrophically wrong would we fail to finish in the Top 6 at least IMO. We will never finish in the Top 2 until we sign a GK and a forward who can score most chances given to him. Simpson scores one goal per 70 chances, Aluko isn't tall enough to be a fully effective forward, Prossie needs to get in the starting line up and Cullen couldn't score in a brothel.
We are fine in every position. While yes it would be nice to strengthen but its not vital Just thought you would like to know that
Amber - was really surprised that you started with 2 really creative midfelders as strikers. Surely things arent that bad are they? Both Aluko and Koren would walk into most midfields in the Championship.
