Some quotes from Hatem Ben Arfa on his childhood dream this morning...
http://www.leparisien.fr/psg-foot-p...erait-un-reve-d-enfant-14-01-2013-2479139.php

Hatem Ben Arfa says signing for PSG would be ‘a dream’ but he wants to save NUFC first.

I hate when players in time like this choose to give interview(I hate it)...just get to work.

As HBA get's better he is bound to come onto the radar of a lot of 'big' clubs.
If, in a year he decided to go then few could blame him and most will thank him for some sparkling memories.

Should get good money off PSG at least

Sooner he is back the better but lets make sure he is fit this time

Interviews like this never show what he was actually asked. We know that the club like to give french media access to our players to build up favour over there, so he could well have been asked "If you were to leave Newcastle, where would you go?". Every player would want to play for the club he supported as a child, Shearer did it for us. It doesn't mean he'll leave us if any bigger club comes along, it's just if PSG ask for him, then he'll have to seriously consider the offer.

Good to liken him to Shearer, did you see the video that koki13 posted the other day?

Believe this is it.

Yeah, saw it, and imo it just says we shouldn't begrudge him if he does choose to go to his childhood club. You can see what it meant to Shearer, so if he gets the opportunity, we should just accept it.

I do think HBA is pretty loyal to us still though, I can't see him leaving us while under contract unless we get relegated, or PSG come along.

You've got to try and live your dream. I wouldn't hold anything against anybody for that.

Pardew needs to get his staff under control. At the moment you're signing well but they're just serving as replacements for outgoing players.

To be fair this is nothing new, we've always had players who give these interviews which are then twisted to make the player look bad. Its big news at the minute cause we're ****e.

Some of the lads on our board are strumming themselves silly at this news. You'd have thought we were high flying the way its going around.
