Hopefully we'll have at least a CB shipped into the training ground on the 31st for Wigan on the 2nd FEB.

I would like to remind you of some results of the teams in and around us: QPR beat Chelsea, Sunderland beat Man City, Reading beat Everton, Villa beat Liverpool.......we have yet to beat a top half team!!!

IMO it is imperative we enhance our squad "SOONER" rather than later to give ourselves a chance of acheiving such a result.

I agree but these things take time and there in so point rushing to ship someone in who is not right, i am confident this will be a successful window, but you know what we are like when it comes to transfers!

I don't know much about him, I hear he is pretty solid though.

 

Good player, and I've heard figures like £5m as expected price so considerably cheaper than some of our "targets".
Dutch passport now so would make the paperwork easier

 

I realise we need to get the right players in, but I would of thought we would of enquired about Astori before the window opened and got the deal done swiftly. Again, it seems its going to be a long drawn out game of cat and mouse in the Italian transfer market!! I guess I need to be more patient.

 

It will be interesting to see GMI's response if we buy a CB who is neither Italian or playing in Italy!

 

Never liked the look of him anyway...his eyes are too close together.

 

I would be happier if we signed someone soon to give them to to gel . But nothing i can do about it except hope for the best .......

 

I'd be very happy with Douglas or Astori.
