Havent posted for a while but found this and thought it was worth posting.Don't know how reliable John Cross is but 8 out of 10 seems good.

I don't think it is spot on ... yes we need the recruits but as I said further up, "NOW" isn't the necessity. After Villa, we have Utd, Chelski and Everton. To me, it is key they are in anywhen up to deadline day so that we have them ready for Wigan away.

I agree that earlier is better, but "NOW" is a little dramatic... IMO

I agree, the point I was trying to put out there is .. how many points do we expect realistically from United and Chelsea away and Everton at home? I think we can get something against Everton with a very good performance, but the next must win game is away to Wigan which is 4 weeks away.

Yes, we need a CB as cover is weak, but if it is delayed coming in then what will we actually lose?

Hopefully we'll have at least a CB shipped into the training ground on the 31st for Wigan on the 2nd FEB.

I would like to remind you of some results of the teams in and around us: QPR beat Chelsea, Sunderland beat Man City, Reading beat Everton, Villa beat Liverpool.......we have yet to beat a top half team!!!

IMO it is imperative we enhance our squad "SOONER" rather than later to give ourselves a chance of acheiving such a result.

Good player, and I've heard figures like £5m as expected price so considerably cheaper than some of our "targets".
Dutch passport now so would make the paperwork easier

I realise we need to get the right players in, but I would of thought we would of enquired about Astori before the window opened and got the deal done swiftly. Again, it seems its going to be a long drawn out game of cat and mouse in the Italian transfer market!! I guess I need to be more patient.
