think that is being a bit harsh on Walcott, if he went to utd as much as it pains us all to say he will be seriously competing for honours, not just making the numbers up,which as a player is what you want to do, and if you are told by your manager to play in certain positions you do it, other clubs fair enough to a degree. we used to have that power once, you need us more than we need you.
My point was that his excuse to Arsenal fans was that he wants to leave becuase he wanted to play down the middle, rather than being honest and saying he wanted to win trophies. It's not being unfair to Walcott. He should leave to further his career, but he shouldn't lie about his reasons.
fair enough, just think utd is probably the only club he could go to that the argument could work both ways, win trophies and play where your told, not where you want to.
Does Rodgers just try to take players from his former clubs wherever he goes. surprised no Danny Graham.
Do you actually buy into when they say stuff like that (not saying it's not true, but it's clear he's just trying to suck up) or is it purely for the Rawkites fan base of the club?
Near enough most players say it when they go to certain clubs. Not heard an Everton player say it though.....
Like you said he's sucking up, in terms of the last 20 years then we definitely aren't the biggest in the prem. But if you want to talk history D) then we are the biggest club in the premier league. Making things interesting before Sunday, nice one Studge
most take it with a pinch of salt. who was the player that every club he has joined he said it was his dream to play for them or some bollocks like that, think it was Keane. think its more a dig at Chelsea myself, but no harm in sucking up to your current boss if that's your style i suppose.
