I think are main target should be another winger, ideally a left winger.

We do not make enough chances and even last season the reason why we finished so high up is because Cisse and Ba converted most of the chances, half chances they were given.

Our defence is resonable now we have Debechy, if Taylor is back we have a really decent defence and Perch, Williamson and R.Taylor and even Tavinerier are reasonable backup.

We need to replace Ba definetly but also need another winger as we only have Marveaux and Ben Arfa who are any good.

Gutierrez is more of a full back, good ball control and defence but offers nothing going forward plus he is injured.

This all depends of the formation which we play of course.

I think Ameobi and Cisse is ok in terms of strikers as they complement each other but a decent winger is needed more than anything.

Look how poor we were before Marveaux came on against Brighton.

I think either a really good crosser like Barton was for us, who is resonably defensive minded, or a flair player like Snodgrass for Norwich or even Nzogbia.
 
No it shouldn't and you're not the first person to say it which is annoying.

After Cisse we have no quality striker.

We have Cisse then Shola then Ranger.... <yikes>

And you're seriously saying we should be getting a winger? We NEED another striker. If Cisse gets an injury then we're royally ****ed. Who the **** is going to score?

Are we gonna stick Ben Arfa up front and hope he produces magic?

Our problem isn't creating chances, we have enough creative quality, we need another striker.

We need a CB and a striker, then maybe another fullback. We have enough wing quality with the fullbacks we now have in Debuchy and Santon. One can cut in on his right, the other can cross.
 
No doubt we need to replace Ba, but before Ba left i think we needed another winger. Also if we keep on just playing 1 striker i feel Cisse and Ameobi are sufficent, its the second winger we need who plays just wide of the striker with 3 upfront, same as Ben Arfa on the right but very much doubt we would get that quality again for cheap.

Obertan has looked a capable left winger in the last few games. Plus we've got Fergie and Marveaux. I'd much rather see us get someone in who plays through the middle. It'll also have the benefit of keeping Cisse on his toes.

Not gonna happen and you know it as well as I do.

Also, Overran is shockingly inconsistent. We see him playing well one game, and the next he looks like a headless chicken again....
As for Fergie, he is nowhere near ready to play and play well consistently so no.

Actually the OP does have 1 or 2 good points, but ultimately a striker is still our main priority, and CB. I can't see us not getting 1 of either as that would really doom us.
 
The fact is we do need the following:

Cb -possibly 2
Winger
Striker

And probably more. Our squad is so depleted we need more but we know it ain't going to happen unless we get doss in that is no better than what we have.

The fact is and we all know that we are suffering from a lack of investment.

Yes we have many injuries and I ask myself why... Bad tactics....poor training.....crocked players...whatever.

We need deals to come in ASAP cause if we lose 2 of our next 3 games we will be in serious trouble and players won't want to join a potentially relegated team- ott I know but you get my point.

Paris has now acknowledged we are in a relegation fight. The contract he has might work in our favour because he and the squad can work in the knowledge that he ain't gonna get fired after the next game. Good for him.....not so sure for the fans and their hearts. I swear we age a little every time we go through this.

Lets just sign Sakho (CB and LB) or Kjaer, Ince and Remy. Its not asking too much is it...................

In all seriousness please get a fecking centre back Mike, please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
