He only just turned 31. Arsenal need to get over their fear of players over 30. Look at the success United, Milan and Chelsea have had in recent years by keeping several experienced heads in the team.
Also he's scored 8 in his 15 games since returning.(that and the fact Barca are trying hard to keep hold of him indicate he seems to be fully recovered)
I think there's a difference with having over 30's who are already in your team and buying one.I always get the impression that they are after one last big pay day.I would be quite happy for Villa to prove me wrong though

Theres a big difference between over 30's already in your team and one who has not been the same and not been a first team regular since breaking his leg. We already have/had enough players who have had broken legs and not been the same since. Just look at the comments on here about Ramsey and Diaby didnt have injury problems before his.
Why is everyone obsessed with getting midfielders and strikers. We need 4 quality defenders. Have a look at how we have shipped goals over the last 4 or 5 seasons. Not one of our defenders would make it in any of the top sides in Europe including the top English teams. We don't even have decent cover.

David Villa would be an amazing signing, still has a lot to offer as well. Hopefully we go all out and get him in this window, otherwise I can't see it happening in the summer.
Koscielny would walk into just about every team on the planet, not sure what you're talking about.
Only because our captain seems to be undroppable. It should always be Mertesacker and Koscielny, both compliment each other incredibly well and both are our most talented CB's.
