Wonder if the seeming delay has been due to the history/condition of his knees and possible additional complications with insurance.
its called being thorough and not getting ripped off by the PFA. Once bitten and all that....... Leeds never seem to learn however.
bunkers......paul kossof dead. check out "the muddy waters blues" by paul rodgers. did you ever see free if so where? me city hall and two other venues i cannot for the life of me remember.
.....seen Rodgers many times but sadly never got to see the finest blues/rock band of all time live. Before any one replies with their undoubted merited claims for their favourites , listen to the first 3 Free albums, on headphones in a quiet dark room with your eyes shut and then tell me I'm wrong.
onlyme ... thanks I meant in general where did that music go vis-a-vis today's 'noise'. I am familiar with the muddy water blues album - very good never saw Free live more's the pity, lived in Barrow at that time, hardly anybody went there let alone decent rock bands!
EDIT sorry for going off topic but in response MBJ If there was a Desert Island Discs for 8 albums instead of tracks Free's 'Heartbreaker' from 73 would be one of mine. Tracks like Wishing Well, Come Together In The Morning, Easy On My Soul etc ... pure quality not one duff track on the whole LP. If I ever got tired of that album, I'd be tired of life. I saw Free in 1971 aged 11 (with an aunt & uncle at an open air festival) and didn't appreciate or was interested in what I was seeing and hearing and yet 2 years later was a fan...jeez!
Glad you like that album. Not quite the same band or sound but still the same beating heart and soul of the most brilliant blues singer England has ever produced backed up by (in parts on that album) a true guitar hero.
