It'll be interesting to see where he fits in. The OS says that he's linking up with the development squad, which presumably means U21/Reserve football, for now. No mention of price.
I am more stunned than anything Spurf, because the talk from inside the club last summer was that Fryers was one to avoid because he had showed poor attitude in his time with us.
Couldn't have had a more blatant dodging of the compenation Serves United and the FA right for giving us such a ridiculous compensation package to pay. It makes my blood boil considering the FA bullied the Football League into having to accept much reduced compensation deals for youngsters or face having their youth training subsidies cut, yet then they turn around and say we have to pay top market price for a player who's contract ran out at United.
Eriksen is in the Luis Suarez category in terms of transfer sum for Ajax: above 20 million pounds And Alderweireld has regressed in the past few months, you really don't want him, trust me
Doesn't look like such a rip off now, does it? I know what you mean but as I understand it the new rules could lead to players leaving against the club's will for more like £80k, covering the player's training costs and little else.
We're not Liverpool though, Cove! Daniel Levy will start off by offering you a straight swap for Jermaine Jenas, if past experience is anything to go by.
someone has tweeted that same guy thanking him for the information on zeki fryers and than no spurs fan should be slagging him off as he's spot on with his info. There really could be truth in the Holtby deal being done, and the moutinho deal simply now being down to moutinho's decision. very interesting.
Probably not mate, he's signed an extension till 2014, and I doubt that was too increase resale value! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...t-Lloris-Tottenham-signing-new-deal-2014.html
this is being tweeted about, too. http://www.spurscommunity.co.uk/index.php?threads/update-20-olderyid-on-holtby-updated.93516/ sorry if that breaks any rules Spurf, YV, PNP? i'm not advertising another community!! haha
We can also forget about Llorente by the look of it... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...ham-hopes-of-signing-Spain-international.html I hadn't realised Ade going to the ACON had resurfaced, thought that wasn't happening.
We offered £2m, Simon Jordan threw a fit - obviously thinking he'd get more from the tribunal - and got his hands burned. Fryers plays left back, doesn't he? Sounds like we may be letting Nathan Byrne go at the end of the season if true.
we're buggered if he goes. if he does, the interest in Villa could well be stepped up, if it hasn't already.
Nope, I think short bits of fiction like that are a good read. It was a little hard to get too absorbed in a story that a "respected" SC user, who probably boasts links with agents/spurs/journos, happens to stumble across the entire Schalke squad on a flight from somewhere in England to Munich, despite the Schalke players heading to Qatar. Given that they were on this flight from England to Munich on the way to Qatar, I guess it's no surprise that they were without any minders or representatives from the club and so gave him the scoop on Holtby's future. The minders and representatives must have been at an airport in Gelsenkirchen looking at their watches wondering where the ****ing team is. That said I'm basing my hope of this coming off on Spurcat so far not commenting on it. I think he knows something
He was being used as a LB before we loaned him out, although not sure where Crawley play him (other than on the pitch, anyway...)
A minor point of accuracy admittedly, but it also refers to his perfect English being due to his English mother - when it is his father who is English as I understand. Methinks, more fiction than fact in the account, although whether or not the bigger story itself is true is another matter.
