He gives too much detail basically. Oh you were reading Der Bild were you? The frontpage story was the one that all the English sites have been referencing for the VDV story? Easy to make up and wreaks of trying too hard to convince people, like naming the row number he was sat in. Lastly, oh you didn't realise there was a 25 man German squad behind you during the flight, or when you/they were getting on?
YV you know as well as I do, that posters like that like to big themselves up. So when the story breaks its "I told you" But the bit where Huntelaar just blurts it out- like that would happen! It does appear that the story does have some legs- whether they are long or short remains to be seen.
He doth protest too much - as the saying goes!! Bit like listening to that David Mitchell game show 'The Unbelievable Truth'
Yeah, I was just enjoying it One final thing. The West Ham game that he attended came in between 2 games in 3 days for Schalke, inwhich he played both. If I was Schalke I wouldn't give him permission to leave the country 2 days before a game and travel abroad to visit a club he's thinking of joining on a free transfer especially when it's over a month before he's allowed to speak to clubs. Maybe the guy's got a sense of humour, writing that a German player said the atmosphere was "unbelievable" at a game where there were Nazi salutes and Hitler chants. Holtby probably started the chants! Then again, maybe Spurcat will say he was there and I'll look a right tit
Is it normal for teams with money to fly economy with the masses? I would have thought charter or first class. Spurcat, do you know how our lot travel?, or have any posters here been on planes with teams?
Benny gets about 6 in his Smart Car and lends his Oyster card to Kaboul so he can get the bus with the rest of the team
According to twitter - Jake Livermore is going out on loan - doesn't say where though. Bit of an odd decision if true if I'm honest.
Since Dembele started his first game he's only played 64 minutes of football, with Parker back and Huddlestone and Luongo and perhaps a new midfielder in the window I think it makes sense. He's not long ago been picked for the England team so if he can regular Premier League football elsewhere until the end of the season it should be good for him.
I think it's a great move for jake. He's barely getting a look'in at the moment. Hopefully it'll do him good like it has for Rose. Personally, I think it's to get him playing regularly, increase his value a bit and then we'll sell him in the summer.
I think its the right decision. He isn't good enough to be in the Spurs team. So it would be good to get him some consistent prem experience, see if he improves, if not then sell him for more than we could at the mo.
Maybe - I guess it would take a lot of injuries for him to be near the top of the pecking order. Alright - where do we want him to go then - gotta be a prem club but which one?
The lad will probably be devastated if he is sold, as you can his his sole ambition is just make it as a success with us! When he first broke into the team, he looked to be a real talent, but since then its all gone backwards and as soon as I saw his name on the team sheet, you could tell we was in for a pasting in the middle of the park! maybe he could go on loan to a team like wigan or dare I say it, QPR as Arry did give him his chance.
I'm sure I read somewhere that the possible destinations are Fulham or Reading, but I can't remember where. Given Parker's age and Sandro's form, it might be possible for Livermore to come back in the summer and act as back-up/competition for the Brazilian. Can't see Parker being content with a place on the bench forever.
Latest reporting suggests Jake being sold rather than loaned. I can see both arguments but personally would like him to stay linked to the club at least until the summer. He did start to develop very well and the subsequent halt in that improvement is surprising. Not sure if it is the (relative) lack of consistent opportunity or just that he has peaked at a level. Either way, I think that a half season loan to a half decent PL club would prove it one way or the other. Also, as mentioned above, he is Spurs through and through and it may be an old-fashioned view, but imo that should mean something when there is a tight decision on a young players future.
