Benayoun anyone? He's left West Ham early, could he be available on loan again? He can cover all 3 of the attacking midfield positions in a 4-2-3-1
 
I like him, although I don't think buying him or paying all his wages would be an option, but (assuming Rafa isn't planning to use him) I think a loan to the end of the season with Chelsea paying some of his wages could suit all parties. He's definitely better than Guly and possibly Puncheon as well.

We apparently approached Chelsea on the last deadline day but were put off by the wages.

It was announced on Sky Sports news that he was on 84k per week before signing on loan with West Ham, Crazy.

If injury free he would fit in quite well with the way we play but as it stands to much of a risk IMO.
 
Has anyone heard anymore about Joel Obi?

Would be the injection of pace our attack needs.

Probably just agent talk to force Sunderlands hand as they have been linked with him for a while now.
 
Simon Peach has tweeted about Johan Djourou being available, though there is nothing to suggest we are actually in for him. Wages might be an issue, but if he's going cheap I'd probably take him.

He is wanted by a German side, Hoffenheim I think.

Decent player who if available on the right wages would be a good addition.

EDIT; It's actually Hannover
 
Apparently Norwegian defender Veggard Forren has been spotted outside St.Mary's. Cant say i know anything of this bloke to be honest!

West Ham fans said he is a shadow of his former self and did nothing for them. Also the deal with Chelsea ment they would have to pay more of his wages if they wanted him past Jan. They started of paying 56k of his wages and if they wanted to keep him until the end of the season they would have pay 85k. Benayoun is on 90k a week so no thanx

He's in talks with them but he hasn't "gone" yet. Though they seem a much more likely destination than us to be fair.

Yeah his wages were the issue before when we enquired about him. West Ham is no place to judge someone like him though really. He's not 6 foot 3 and talentless so he's unlikely to get in the team after all <laugh>
