Entirely different set of circumstances. Ancelotti was the first to realise he couldn't play CB but was soon sacked when he dropped him in favour of Alex and favoured Drogba over Torres.
Benitez is clearly a better manager but were not hypocrites, RDM was one of us and treated pretty shabbily by the club, in contrast Benitez has shown us nothing but contempt.
There's no way if Wenger slams Spurs fans for the best part of 3 years running and takes over as Spurs manager he's getting welcomed with open arms.
There's absolutely nothing new there. Every manager you've ever had, since the Russian Mafia took over, has been treated shabbily. The only difference being that RDM played or the club..
You could argue the same for Spurs under Levy.
It's a throat-cut business now where money rules over sentiment and morales.
But that's capitalism for you![]()
That's just a tad away from the original point that RDM was not treated anymore shabbily than Abramovich has treated your other managers. However, I would concede that Jol was treated badly. Although I'd put that more down to Comolli, than Levy.
It's clear to me that Benitez is a far better manager than Di Matteo. Unfortunately, it also means that you have a far better chance of finishing ahead of us in the table.
Won't have anyone slamming Luiz. Top player.![]()
And I have no high opinion of Vermaelen, but god damn does David Luiz make him look good.
David Luiz was publicly humiliated by Neville and Hansen to name a few despite his defending being no worse or more erratic than that of Ferdinand, G*llas, Vermaelen or Mertesacker. It's only fair he gets credit where it's due, most people recognise him as a gifted footballer but without the defensive intelligence to play in the back 4.
Vermaelen is a headless chicken, worst defender Arsenal have by a mile (although that doesn't say much). I've no idea why Wenger doesn't start Koscielny and Mertesacker. Koscielny carried Vermalen last year and Djourou did the year before.
Sorry DL, but he's been awful at centre-back whenever he's been put under any pressure.
As you say, he's a good footballer, but he's a **** defender.
Walcott and Defoe have scored the same number of goals this season, but Walcott has taken 7 games less to do it in. He should be upfront, especially with Bale and either Lennon or the Ox either side of him. Unstoppable pace... Imagine counter attacking with those three![]()

I wouldn't have any QPR players personally

I do love it when Gooners bring out their "stats"![]()
