Weird one this. Good player for Blackburn couldn't believe we managed to sign him when top German clubs and other premiership clubs wanted him. Okay the wages may have tempted him but he was a decent player. However Shaun (I don't have any skill anymore but thanks for the £50,000 per week) Wright-Philips gets picked every game before him. What has happened to Hoilett?
If Hoilett had gone to Naawich he would of been putting in great performances every week, they got Snodgrass who is not as good but is playing well Nobody we sign seems to pull their weight
Too many new players too quickly you develop a squad not buy one like a computer game Hoilett is an excellent player would love to see him playing at Carrow Road
I think the reason for all this, is the divide in players.....Harry said it today (allthough he said he didnt want to name anyone personally) that he knows what the problem is....there are a number of players that dont give a damn, pick up rediculous wages and dont put in a shift. When you have this, it affects all the players including quality players like Hoilett (who is young and even more susceptible to bad influence). Its like a virus that pulses out of the bad players on high wages onto the good players on lower wages and you get one big pile of crap. I know its been mentioned so many times, but Hughes really couldnt have done more wrong if he tried. Harry has a chance to bring in some good pro's and people that want to work hard.....while either getting rid of the bad apples, or pushing them to train with the youth squad. My toughts on the bad apples are: Ceasar, Granero, Bonsingwa, Cisse, Zamora, Diakite (depressed and misses home), Park Ji ****stain. M'Bia is a class player and one of the few decent players Hughes got....allthough he didnt have a great game today, the class is still there. And then you have Mackie, Hill, Derry and to a certain degree Faurlin.....all players that work hard for the cause, but simply arent good enough at this level. So here are our good players: Tarrabt, Nelsen (pure class this guy), M'Bia and Traore. Its not a curse.....its poor signings by the club, hyped way out of proportion to trick the fans into thinking we have signed some top quality. I was saying to my Brother today that we should have signed players like Snodgrass, players that are exceling in the Championship and want to put the effort in to make the next step up. Instead we sign over the hill players and they have brought a dark cloud over our younger better players. And thats what we have today a big group of Mercenaries, influencing the younger better players negatively, proped up by hardworking Championship players. But we all knew that
To be honest, I've thought Hoilett has usually played OK when I've seen him and, on occasion, he has been very good indeed. He hasn't had a fair chance yet. I'm not a critic of SWP but Hoilett would certainly offer more going forward but less in defence and probably wouldn't work as hard as SWP.
Well said Franckster. Couldn't have summed it up better. Imagine the dressing room with such a disparity in wages yet little effort shown by quite a few. It would really get my goat if I was hill, mackie etc.. Spot on view.
Intresting and good view Frank, my only issue is that you'd get rid of Ceasar? Why? Is that purely a wages thing? Not done anything wrong that i can find or see and we'd be long gone if it wasnt for him. Must be pulling his hair out when he looks at the defense in front of him. I agree with Nelson being class but not sure how many games he's got left in him? Only other one I'd query is Granero but thats because i've seen him play over some time and still believe he is a good player. He's just not working out for us though and I cant see why?. Would agree though probably best if we do sell him for all parties involved. Also, what would you do about Hoillett?
I actually think Cesar hasn't been that good, if we are paying him £80,000 a week we could have got much better. Another player past his best or he would still be at Milan. Granero would probably be a class act if he was at a team like Arsenal. He is not suited to a team fighting for survival in my opinion. I think Hoilett should be playing instead of Wright-Philips. Can't be any worse.
Ceasar is only here because his wifew wanted to live in London....speaks volumes regardless of his talent. I would play Hoilett...but I cant see him doing well or any of the team till the Hughes signings have gone from the squad.
That's a spot on post Franckster. We the faithful have been on a very very mis-sold feckin ride. The whole squad is riddled with a form of football cancer.
That is a quality post swords. Something I've been trying to drum up all week. And there it is... Well said again Francky.
Ay, well written there mate, but once again the blame has to fall on Hughes and Joorabchian for scheming this and leaving it with us, they started the mess by getting those vey Mercs you're talking about! Time for another clean up on Aisle 6
Time to move on from the continued MH blame articles. It's boring now and does nothing. Take it from today, deal with it, get over it and live for today. Lets deal with the problems and not the blame.
Hoillet almost turned the game around in our last game.I just dont get why he is not the first name on the team sheet!. Ok,so he may not be the best at tracking back, but his pace and skill is something we are crying out for!.SWP has pace and no skill and Mackie is a grafter, but no pace or skill!. Weve got skillful players who dont put a shift in and weve got players that put a shift in but have no skill!
Cesar played for Inter, who are skint and wanted rid of him because of his wages. I watched him closely in the warm up with Green yesterday and he is half a second faster in everything he does. Class act, if we can't afford him he's an easy one to sell. I will be the only one on here who says this but Granero noticeably upped the quality when he came on yesterday - moving the ball accurately and quickly. But I agree that he is struggling with the gulf in class between what he was used to and where he is now. I still like him and hope he gets a chance somewhere more suited to his style, Arsenal, Swansea, Liverpool or abroad. Who knows about Hoilett, he never gets a kick.
