I thought that Colback was out MOTM against Fulham and had an even better game against Bolton. As everyone says, he keeps possession better than anyone else at the club. When someone else loses it, invariably it's JC chasing to get it back. I was concerned earlier that he was over deferential to the "senior players' but he wasn't at the weekend. He looks like he feels he belongs there now and I thought he had a magnificent game.

Didn't look up to it at all when he first got in the side, but delighted to agree that with the confidence the extended run has given him, he's really impressing.
I'd say him and Meyler, when fit, are both ahead of Catts at the minute, Catts needs to meet the challenge head on and prove why he's captain.

Bigger question is if he has the ability as an all round footballer to warrant a place ahead of the other 2.
It's certainly open to debate, Meyler pre-injury was doing a great job forward and back, covering so much ground, was looking a real player.
Colback looks so composed on the ball, and runs his guts out constantly.
Catts needs to step up.

Don't disagree, BB. Still ask the question though - has Catts got a long term future, anyway?
I have watched Colback in the youth team and reserves. It was the same at both levels for him, a bit overawed at first then got better and better. I understand it was the same at Ipswich. In my opinion he will only improve if past history is anything to go by.

When we first signed Catts he looked class, winning the ball for fun, and using it well.
He's never done much since the first injury, and he probably has to prove himself, and improve his game going forward if he's gonna win the fight.
I think he's got it in him though, we'll have to wait and see i guess.
Bobgee, didn't he get player of the year down Ipswich? Good going considering his youth at the time.

As regards Catts, what I'm getting at is do we know how serious the current back injury is? If it's a recurrence, is it a major problem - does he have a future at all? Anyone know?
