i agree rangercol. green had had some good games. better than swansea anyway. but cesar is better. i think we were worst than wba but were unlucky. but when you are at the botom you dont get luck.
Seriously, are you ******ed? Rather be in the Championship? I bet you were one of the many QPR fans creaming their pants last season when you escaped relegation, so don't give me that. You would honestly prefer cold Tuesday nights at Peterborough and Bristol City rather than Saturday afternoons at the Emirates and Old Trafford? What an idiotic statement to make. As for the models you would rather not base yourselves upon, you could do a lot worse than the teams you mentioned, but I guess operating on a shrewd budget with players who are playing for more than just their paycheck wouldn't really appeal to a club like yours. WBA are a million times the team you are right now, so credit where credit is due.
Calm down Arse Bandit. That's just DT talking his usual sh*te. Of course we want to stay in the Prem. The idea of playing Barnsley again is giving me sleepless nights.
How does he deal with it? Push Fortune out of the way and give away a penalty? You are being ridiculous, he was being fouled and should have expected protection from the referee and linesman but Foy had positioned himself where he couldnt see. You can be damn sure he would have seen if Green had pushed Fortune away as he would surely have gone to ground. If any of you think that goal was Rob Green's fault then you are just idiots buying into the whole anti Rob Green campaign. He has been outstanding lately, remember the MoM performance at Wigan? He was fouled for West Broms goal and the idiots you should be blaming are Foy and his assistant! To add insult to injury they want Harry to explain his comments!
I don't think anyone on here has stated that the goal wasn't a foul. The conjecture is the way Green dealt with it. To just stand and allow himself to be bullied off the ball is embarrassing for any goalkeeper who's job is to assert their presence in the box. If Green had punched the ball it would have gone away from the goal instead of pat-a-caking it into the roof of the net. It was poor decision-making at the vital time regardless of whether or not it was a foul. Cesar regularly punches the ball away and I would guarantee he'd have done the same in such a position...
just a thought for all those experts...How / what do you think Peter Schmichael would have done had he been in the same position.? My money is that the ball doesnt go in ANd the forward player doesnt get off the floor for 10 minutes?!! green is a tart as a keeper. Not a bad keeper but defo no presence. shame because he has been better the last few games...Now back to the PS question...answers on a post(card) please...?
Oh yeah Cesar would have punched it alright.........never catches **** all though does he! We could make a quality goalkeeper out of the two of them!
Green would be iving around 4 stone away to Schmeichel QL, Schmeichel would have won that physical battle with Fortune, Green shouldnt have had to with the rules in place these days FACT!
Problem is i dont think Schmiechael would have done it fairly.....Knees to the back would have done the job..weight would have been irrelivant...IMHO!
I have given them credit in the past on here Bandit. My point is that QPR have always been a football club that has been associated with flair football ... that is factual. We have been purchased by a wealthy bunch because of out flair and just as importantly our location ... West London. I apologise if any offence was taken but I hope you may be able to see where this premiership is headed as the top league of world football. It is marketed that way with extreme powers and backed all the way by Barclays. Every seven or so days the world now looks at it and the riches that come with that are massive. Just to survive in it is no longer a footballing matter ... its a commercial one. The business of football goes on regardless of the nit picking we do around the game. Everyone wants to win Everybody has to win. Only three teams go down and three come up. In 10 years I believe smaller clubs won't be allowed up as 30k minimum crowds to that QPR is a foundation club for a business. Our current model is to buy our safety and generate a worldwide brand. Now you may not see that but at QPR that is happening my friend as our Asia friends reap the benefits. Cardiff are doing the same. Man City, Chelsea have purchased trophies. Our off pitch stuff is being put into place so like other outfits we grow new players as well but that won't happen for 7 years or more. Would I personally go back to the championship if it meant growing our foundations in the correct way ... still the answer is yes Business men have built their business models but can't get their nuts around what happens on the pitch can't be quantified its the biggest variable there is but like gambling they can't stop themselves ... money and power. I love football, i used to live to play the game.. its changed ... credit to the clubs who have done it and established themselves for the big party that is coming but I guarantee you that all clubs that find themselves at the top table will have to rethink the whole thing in the end. On pure football ethics I admire the teams i mentioned but just being there and not being in the bottom three is a vacuum. The fight for the title is one thing and sewn up the fight for relegation is just as exciting if not better viewing to the world. WBA have at the moment have a great head of steam but I think it's unlikely that they will get anything from the season. If you do then what of next year? WBA become a team that can break into the top four? that without a lot of money etc will be a fragile dream We may well fall but I bet you this our machine as much as i hate it will return and these business men will do everything to get this football club up there. If the power changes at the top of our club then now someone else will step in ... If the Mittals ever go solo on this then you may see another sad super club born in London. they are all ifs and i know we have to be in it to compete. In a way I hope big business fails hence my view come what may i will still be there at QPR. QPR fans to the outside world have little choice in being deluded I'm afraid. I said that at the start of all of this ... as for our posters on here well it all there in writing .. so many infected while we argue how good or bad SWP is ... I maybe considered a clown but i know things others can't even see
We are QPR QL, Green puts a knee n Fortune's back and they get a penalty.........you know how it works surely!
I think you need to calm down a bit mate. We just have different opinions is all. No need to get all insulting. Many of us simply believe that Cesar is the better keeper and would have dealt with that situation better.
I dont think I have insulted anyone tbh. I am sure Rob Green would be an even better keeper with backing from the stands though! He was immense at Wigan but I dont see you applauding him for that, it's easier I guess to be derogatory rather than encourage! We will find out on Sunday who Harry thinks is the better keeper, wont we? He interracts with them every day and is a better judge than us so lets see!
Referee should never have allowed the goal for obstruction on Green, but nevertheless it was a pretty pathetic hand pat into the goal, he could have pushed back on the WBA player and punched the ball away as I think Cesar would have. He was slow to get to the first goal too.
Can't be arsed to go back and copy the quotes where you call people idiots and I'm not getting into a slanging match with you. I certainly did acknowledge Green's good performances, but that that doesn't change the fact that, FOR ME, he is decidedly dodgy. Cesar has been excellent and saved us from several drubbings.........all in my opinion of course.
I think Harry has given Green a run of games to fully assess him, Sunday's selection will be very revealing...
Trouble is I understand from the Barclays PL channel Cesar may not be fit - he has a back problem according to them.
