Get hold of a video of the second half at your place fella, it was embarrassing. Fair play to you for admitting you were wrong.
Clarke needs to stop believing in his own publicity by the way, you are not as good as he thinks you are, he rather showed himself up in his post match interview in my opinion.
However you have the points on the board and good luck to you!

Third time lucky in Jan........you WILL get whats coming ;-)

The "move" for the goal involved M'Bia moving in-field before slipping a good ball through for Cisse. Hardly the move of the season! I agree that they didn't batter us, but I do think they completely out-played us in midfield and looked very comfortable without ever getting into top gear. We hardly put 3 passes together for the whole game and repeatedly gave the ball away. You're entitled to your opinions and maybe the whole bank holiday madness of getting into the ground clouded my judgement a little, as I usually try to be more positive. Sadly I can't see a lot to be positive about!

Really enjoy reading your reports and all the comments that follow. Never fails to amaze me how so many people can see things so differently. Spent yesterday surrounded by family but was absolutely miserable. These players don't care Col. They don't give a sh**e. The fact that most of these players were millionaires before they were 21 is a frightening concept. I will never ever accept players not giving it 100%. I can neither understand nor accept it. We are fu**ed. Not being negative but can't see this lot of players giving enough of s sh**e to get us out of this mess. No blood and guts. No determination. No running that extra hard yard. No desire. No will. No team. No points. Devastated.

I have just watched the match without the emotion I fully understand how some can make the mistake that QPR were the worst of the two sides.

Sorry but QPR deserved a draw at least out if that and dirty again but some of just got used to nit picking

QPR were the better team in what looked a dull match.

We are in the **** about time some people wiped their glasses

Embrace the **** respect it or you will sink under it

i was there, and yep we switched off for long periods in the second half, but we got those goals at the crucial time in the first half with mulumbu essentially popping up out of nowhere to clinch victory. what do you mean we will get whats coming? i know we ride our luck a fair bit but then again refs have screwed us over in the past during the season. as i said arsenal away was an embarrassment, the game was taken from us with 2 penalties that should never have been awarded. i do admit we get a little lucky at times, and thankfully we have only 1 sending off to our name this season, but i think we are generally a clean solid team.

I make you right there col.

Good luck to you throstle. You made some good points without wumming and fair play to you for that. Good luck this season. West Brom are a good solid team, everything that we would love to be at this present moment in time. <ok>

WBA......first Premier League club to avoid relegation having been bottom of the table at Christmas. 2004-2005. I would love it if we could be like them!

They've had their fair share of ups and downs and come back stronger. Maybe it's inevitable for us to go down the same path.

There is a huge difference between us and West Brom when they went down.
They did not spend huge wages on premiership players so when they got relegated they did not need to offload any of them.
They came back up with more money each time because of their premiership payments.
We would have to offload as many players as possible and rebuild the team.

Nothing sinister mate, I just think we owe you a beating! WBA are one of the few teams I can honestly say I dont dislike and am pleased to see them do well.......now Villa on the other hand........!

as i said earlier i thought it was fairly evens first half. Difference being a 30 yard wonder goal. However i felt that at no time were West brom in top gear but nor did i think for a second we were being outclassed (not saying we were good, just that they were weren't either) Second half i thought they were better for 15 odd mins and then when we got one back we were generally the better side with a little lull where we cancelled each other out. Defo deserved a draw on balance.

Watched the full 90 twice now and yes it wasn't a great match. Where Col is getting it wrong is and i agree we didn't have our passing boots on. Sorry again but QPR shaded that game for me. The least we should have got was a draw I think many let their understandable disappointment over shadow their opinions on football

Problem is Dave, even if we did shade it we didn't get a result. In our current position I would be delighted to pick up points in any fashion available, but ultimately I want the players to be able to scream at the top of their voices 'were you not entertained!!!' at the crowd at the end of every game, like that bloke in the skirt in Gladiator.

I was not entertained by either team on Wednesday, and I am easy to keep happy - I like outrageous skills, even if they have no end result, partial to a bit of technically clever team play, and won't say no to blood and thunder British tradition. For those of us who went I think the mood has been further dragged down by the irritation of the whole getting to the ground on time and away again experience, and the knowledge that its not going to be much better on Sunday. Shouldn't blame the team for this.

Last season I honestly didn't doubt for a second that we would stay up. This year I know we have a good chance, because the league is dross, but my confidence needs bolstering with a good run starting very very soon.

LIverpool are playing good football and not winning maybe this will be a good game. I saw WBA as being a turd that won't flush sort of team ... no model to model a team on IMO I would rather play in the Championship than WBA, Norwich, West Ham, Stoke, Reading, Sunderland, Fulham ... you are right this league is dross ... why? has to be about the forthcoming money... No team seems to be happy anymore

We'll just have to agree to differ Dave. I'm not saying you're wrong, as I know you know your football. But I like to think I know it too and WBA looked a very well organised team, who kept the ball well. My lad commented on the excellent pass and move that their midfield in particular employed. First half, we were as bad as I can remember. Last 20mins we started to put them under pressure, due to the fact that Harry switched to 3 at the back and played with more forwards. Even then, they looked like picking us off on the break. We deserved a draw ONLY because the officials got the penalty wrong. All my opinion though, so let's agree to differ and see what Sunday brings.

Except perhaps Man Utd. Couple of threads on here having go at Ferguson recently, and he certainly makes sure he gets his own way. But his team has played fast, attacking football and featured some enormous talent (especially, for me, Scholes) over the past 25 years. I have never seen them shut up shop. I don't think Utd supporters realize what they have had. I find it impossible to criticise him, and as for the bile on the red nose thread, pure envy.

The officials not only got the penalty wrong Col but also allowing their second goal, that makes it 1-1 with a penalty to us in my book.

sb_73 you want to be entertained???? You dont get entertained in a relegation dogfight unless you have a sick sense of humour! **** being entertained...I want to stay up and dont give a sh1t how we do it!

Oh, I'm pretty sick mate. I'm also paying to see a bunch of experienced professionals with a bunch of trophies between them. If it were the kids of Villa or the team that got up from the championship perhaps some leeway could be given. Even Ollie's no stars Blackpool team gave value for money getting relegated.

Seriously, of course I'll take the points as ugly as they come. But I would like something a little less limp to watch as well.

Green should have dealt with that 2nd goal regardless of whether it was a foul imo. He was so weak and feeble it was embarrassing. Can you imagine Hart or any other Premier League keeper allowing that to happen? All with a fit Cesar watching from the bench. Harry must play him Sunday!
