Glad to hear that you made it back safe and well OFH, even though it was rather "extended". Hope Saturday was a good day out for you.

OFH - I picked up Tales for The Vicarage for a Xmas present for Little Miss W_Y - has one of the chapters got your mark on it?

It is now very mild in bandit country and the rain has finally stopped.

Well that's the Turkey prepared, the pigs in blankets done, stuffing made and some veggies prepared. Just got to wrap a few presents and I am done for the evening - well until 'er indoors returns from the outlaws with a few new chores!

Not this time w_y, far above my standard I am afraid. :( It is a great read though.

evening all, glad you got back safely M Frenchie!

What a blinking day! Work this morning then an emergency visit to the dentist for a broken filling. I'd only been gone an hour when the blinking thing broke again :(...back to the dentist i went..got the filling fixed..and an hour later...well yeah, you can guess! So, i'm leaving it and hoping i don't get an infection before Thursday! Blinkin' annoying, i can tell you! Anyway, some of the food is ready for tomorrow...i wish i wasn't Jewish, i always feel bad getting Christmas lunch ready..it just feels odd! But it's beef tomorrow, i figure if i don't do turkey it's like any other big family lunch! With young Mr H having two guests from uni, and my brother bringing his family of 6, we've gone from 'shall we do it small this year' to 'how do we fit 17 round the table?'...never sure how that happens! lol

Anyway, happy Christmas everyone, i hope you and your families have a wonderful time :) <hug><smooch>

Sounds like hard work <whistle> :)

Good morning all. I hope you are all having a good day with loved ones and that you got what you wanted, whatever it may have been.

I do love Christmas day, there is no better excuse to have Disney songs blaring at full volume and to sing along very loudly and out of tune.

Good morning all - been hectic already, all of the W_Y's are at home and Mrs W_Y will be off to pick up the outlaws in a bit to come over for lunch. Sad to say that they are just too frail to stay away from home these days, so they cannot stay the night..still at least they will be with family.

H - I really do not like Turkey that much and was threatening to get a nice big Rib of Beef for lunch instead. You should have seen the face Little Miss W_Y made when I suggested this <yikes>!!!

Hope you all have a great day...best wishes from bandit country!

Evening all, hope that you all have had a good Christmas Day wherever in the world you might be, and whatever you have been doing.

For the first time since we left England we celebrated here without having to do loads of cooking and preparation as we went to our daughters and she did us proud. A lovely leg of lamb for dinner, something that we do not buy very often due to the price. With sheep all around us you would think it plentiful, but most of it goes for export and it is the most expensive of all meat. Turkey is a very poor looking specimen, little larger than a capon, but no one bothers with it very much unless you live in an area where there are colonies of ex-pats.

No public holiday here tomorrow, life gets back to normal until the weekend when the locals go into overdrive in the food stakes. Celebrate the New Year with us with a 15 course meal, followed by dancing with a live band is typical of the flyers posted under the cars windscreen wipers, and all for €80 or so. Think I will give it a miss as I think dancing could be considered as sport and that is not allowed until February.

Evening Red. Hows things. I am looking forward to a good match with two sets of vocal fans to create a good atmosphere. Did you decide to attend?

Haha you might hear our bad side of being vocal or complete silence like a library, lots of groans and a **** load of boos <laugh> and no I'm not attending tomorrow, staying at home with more family visits plus no transport running lol, I'm going on Saturday instead vs Posh <yikes>

Evening all, hope you've all had a cracking day. I'm still up as packing for our trip to the Isle of Wight tomorrow. Unfortunately Mrs Sandy decided not to waste the day so she booked the 9am ferry from Portsmouth. So I will now be getting up at round 4am so I can rally the troops and get down there in time :(. Will be a great few days but not looking forward to such an early start. Hopefully 3 points will help my mood.
Night all.

Morning all, bright and sunny ;) electricity bill arrived.:(

At my party last Saturday my nephew had his eight year old son who had spent the day with WFC. Training in the morning at London Colney with lunch provided, then off to the game in the afternoon. He came in the evening wearing his Watford scarf and clearly was not letting go of it.

Catch em young and you will keep them they say! He will no doubt be wanting his Dad to take him to all the home games now.

Morning all from a bright & sunny bandit country - just off for a little walk around the village as Miss W_Y has to deliver some presents to her god-mothers. Then we are going to have a day in front of the box watching films..

Thanks for the frothy AK - washed the Salmon & Scrambled Eggs down a treat!
