Tiger Leisure have free delivery until 9am tomorrow morning, that is good.

However, that's not what I am getting at, just thought I would put it out there.

The promotion that I think is the worst ever is that on the front, it says "Replica Shirt sale : THEY WON'T BE A TENNER NEXT WEEK!" After getting a bit excited about the potential of getting 3 of this seasons shirts for £30, to realise that shirts are still £20 each and they actually mean this is as cheap as they'll get.

Who decided to put it like that? That's ridiculous marketing.

    Disappointed.

Bit confused, you misread 'won't' as 'will' you mean? The only price from that the byeline that they wouldn't be is £30 for 3. Did you just have a bit of a blonde moment?

No what I am getting at is, why say they won't be £10 next week? That's not gonna make you rush and buy a shirt for £20 unless the shirt was £10 and it's going up next week.

If anything you'd be like.... Nah it's not gonna change price any time soon, so I don't have to buy one just yet.

    Does that make sense?

Not really, because they were 40 quid at full price not 20, they reduced them to 20 and they wanted to make it clear they weren't going to reduce them further. Also the tone of the marketing emails you get are quite colloquial, so they were just continuing with that.

It was a daft way to word the promotion and it's been raised on several of the message boards, I doubt they'll use it again.

By saying they won't be a tenner next week it implies that they are a tenner now.

The fact it's had to be explained that it doesn't mean that or it's drawn complaints shows it is poorly phrased.

It had me confused when i first read it too, badly worded. It does leave me wondering what happens to the excess stock if they can't flog it all aswell, as they obviously cannot go back on their word now.

They could have just avoided all confusion by simply stating "This is as cheap as they'll get". It strangly wound me up for some reason. Perhaps because I wanted to be a cheapo and get all 3 current shirts for £30 heh.

In fairness, it's a response to last year. I bought my niece a shirt on the Thursday for £20, and literally that night, I got home, looked on the website, and they were announcing further reductions starting the following Monday. (I think it was around the end of May, the school half term).

They're just saying, don't be waiting for further reductions, the same won't be happening again.

But I agree. It's a crap promotion line.

I buy one of them either home or away at full price and buy the other one during the reductions.

I think "They wont be a tenner next week" is an awful way of putting it, Simply putting final reductions in there would of been fine.

It's ****ing ridiculous. Only robingram02 could argue that you must be having a 'blonde moment' to be confused by it. <doh>

I never even realised this was the case, so thanks for bringing it to my attention!

The lady at Tiger Leisure, Sarah Crawford I believe, has always been the essence efficiency when I have dealt with her. I have purchased a few garments over the years which my rello's have picked up for me and posted to Oz. My only complaint is that I would have bought more of the 'street wear' if only they weren't so bloody drab. Gawd, we have bright colours but the jackets and sweaters on sale are always in dark drab colours with a poxy small city emblem on them. Is there nobody with some imagination at TL who could design something that would SELL! Here's an example of Australian Rules Side Richmond who play in the Black and Amber colours of Hull City and are nicknamed "The Tigers":-

Or perhaps something like this would sell:
