From what I've read/know and people I've spoken to Arsenal fans post-1997 generally speaking are split on Wenger, the majority seem to want him out whilst the rest still believe. I'd say its about 60/40. The only people fully behind Wenger are Wenger era Arsenal fans who know nothing else.

I've yet to talk to a Wenger era Arsenal fan that wants him out but I've yet to speak to a George Graham era or older that wants him to stay.

You've got that completely arse about face. It's generally the younger fans who have only known Wenger who now want him out, the older ones amongst us have known what a truly mediocre Arsenal look like and know that Wenger is still the best manager we've ever had.

Also, tinytots is talking ****e again. If you go to the Emirates / pubs / supporters clubs etc, you'll find that the vast majority are in support of Wenger and think (as I do) that sacking him would be a stupid thing to do.

You obviously do, PESKIE. You are one of my greatest fans on this board.

<laugh>

You make me laugh, precisely because I can't take anything you say seriously, despite the fact that you actually believe what you write . . .that's what makes it funny.

Along wit tinytots, you're a right pair of comedians

You're 3rd, we are 5th because of goal difference only Peskie.

Poor wummery.

That was in response to tinytots 'team in decline' comment.

So how does us being in 3rd and you being in 5th describe us being in decline exactly ?

I am not going to hark on about the North London Power-Shift, as we've all seen that coming for several seasons, now, and it was only a matter of time before we began to dominate the North London football scene. No, I think the Gooners will be concerned more generally with how their club seems to be spiraling down the table

This quote has got plenty more mileage in it yet <ok>

wummery schummery - you wheel out that tired old response time and again. :emoticon-0113-sleep

This thread is wumming your own fans - and I'm just pointing out how it does that. If you can't see that and start getting your knickers in a twist instead, then you should steer well clear of this thread <ok>

I call a Wum a Wum, as that's what you are. It seems to me that it's your knickers that are in a twist!...

You're the one acting like a <diva> mate.

If you've got a problem with somebody wumming Spurs,
you should be having a word with HIAG <laugh>

I think we should all have a cup of tea and take a little time to reflect.

The Gooners are celebrating being on the same number of points as us, Everton, and WBA. Only they cannot see how bad that is for their club, which used to have aspirations of challenging for the league title.

I think there is little point in trying to argue with PESKIE (and absolutely zero point in trying to argue with gunner.b.all.wrong), because he will be dancing a jig in the streets of Woolwich if AFC manage to scape a 1 point finish ahead of us, and will still proclaim that everything is all right.

In the meantime, I think we ought to take some comfort from today's draw with Stoke. There are not many teams who are going to beat them, and quite a few who will falter. For example, they have drawn with us, City, Arsenal, Everton, and 'Pool; and they beat WBA. Arsenal have a tricky set of fixtures between now and the end of January, including Newcastle, 'Pool, Chelsea, and City; whereas the only tough match we have is against United.

I know it's not a popularly held view among punters, but I cannot see Arsenal finishing in the top 4 this season, regardless as to whether or not they finish above us.

Are you really so slow on the uptake that you can't see who HIAG is really winding up? He deliberately posts these inflammatory articles, knowing that the likes of you, and few other of your Goonie mates, will take the bait. He occasionally pops up to stir the pot and make sure it doesn't go off the boil; then sits back and enjoys the fun. Seems to work every time. If you actually stopped and thought for a minute, you might realise that it's you that's getting wound up - by HIAG. He does seem to be rather successful at it.
Works a treat with the Mickey Mousers too!..<laugh>
