AVB where do you stand?

  1. Is doing alright and needs more time

  2. Is the wrong man in the wrong place

  3. Not happy but prepared to be patient

  4. Love him!

Is it that obvious Spurf ?? <laugh>. I think he's a complete pillock for a number of reasons, but for now let's just leave it with the amateurish warm ups as reason.

It wasn't, not for him. I'm sure even AVB would admit it was a good learning experience. He's learnt from his mistakes and is trying to correct them. It's been character building and helped him progress as a manager. As I've said before, getting sacked at Chelsea 6 months or so into the job is no disgrace.

I'm not so sure he has learnt much from his time with chelsea, as he he strikes me as someone that will be very bitter about what happened and deep down wants to prove chelsea wrong.

From what I see, he makes the same mistakes with us, that he did with chelsea, but because the dynamics of the club are different, he doesn't have to face the same issues so people will say he is a changed manager.

For me,he doesn't appear to be as dogmatic or stubborn as he seemed at Chelsea. Yes, he's made quite a few mistakes, and continues to make them. Early days yet, but he at least looks to be more willing to accept when he's got it wrong.

I've posted this before and I'll post it again,SAF was at Utd for 5 years or so before he won anything and with a patient board look what's happened....total success. AVB's time at Chelsea wasn't long enough to prove what he can do and so he was treated very unfairly imo. We have to give him a fair chance,he's young and ambitious and 4th in the PL despite being under huge pressure and not having a full squad to choose from. The players will respond positively themselves after a few wins and AVb will be given the praise. I

I'm still as I was when the thread started ie not happy but willing to be patient.

He also seems more calm and relaxed. There isn't as much expectation or media pressure with the Spurs job which I feel has helped him get on with his job.

There's absolutely no media pressure in the Chelsea job.
Win? You're not as good as Mourinho.
Lose? You'll get the sack anyway, so it doesn't matter.
