According to the 'Fail' there might be a referendum on selling the circle including walton street car park. Surely we don't need an ice rink. Squash gymnastics etc might be nice for the City but will only take the Allam's money away from Hull City. So although it would be great for them to build a hotel for fans to stay in and extend the stadium it might be a bad thing looking at the current plans. Also when you consider we play there for free now why pay 40 million plus for something that is effectively free. Can anyone actually clear up the money situation? The Allams say the investment is upto 46 million i think that includes paying back the loans to the banks as that is what they themselves said the loans where secured against the parachute payments therefore we still have 48 million left to come therefore the net gain will be 2 million as it stands now. It's great they have saved the club just like adam pearson did. I hope they make money out of it just like Sir adam . Just stop the smoke screens and tell us the truth . So how would you vote?

I'm not sure why you'd pose that question on here, as almost everyone on here is likely to vote in favour, though as half the people on here live outside the city boundaries, they won't get a vote anyway.
If it goes ahead, we'll have some of the best sports facilities in the country, anyone who doesn't think that's a good idea is bonkers. It would be a massive boost for the city, both having these facilities available for everyone to use and also being able to host major events. The investment for the development would come partly from the Allam's, partly from Sport England, party with borrowings that will be repaid by leasing the hotel and the increased stadium capacity(possibly with cheaper ticket prices). The money can only be raised to invest in the development if it goes ahead, if it doesn't, that money isn't available to spend on the football club. The amount we've set aside for player recruitment will stay as it is, it won't be affected by this development one way or the other.
As for the money paid already, we had over ã20m in bank debt, ã7m to the taxman and a few million in deferred player wages that were paid off as soon as the Allam's took over. That's ã30m already, we then spent a few million on players in January and we're still running at a deficit, due to Bartlett having already spent this seasons and next seasons parachute money, along with half of next seasons ticket sale money.
We pay a nominal rent fee, since we started playing there weve paid the council something ridiculous like 50k-100k. Cant remember the figure exactly. But its def under a million.
Since the KC opened(not including this season), City have paid HCC a total of ã46,996.20.
In the same period, HCC have rented offices inside the KC, for a total rent of ã580,000.00.
So far, the stadium has cost HCC an average of ã66,375.48 per year.
It was quite possibly the worst rental agreement a council has ever done!
I don't get how people seem to link the Allam's personal family funds as being the same as City's money. They are our owners now, but they're no bottomless pit. The HDM site seems to keep coming up with people who say, "I'd rather the money was spent on a decent striker". If the Allams don't find a new income stream, there is no more money.

The whole complex would put other complexes around the country in the shade.....imagine trying to build something like this in any other city though (so close to the town centre)?? Analby road and the surrounding area needs this development also...the road is a dump (dogshit everywhere). Ponds Forge here in Sheffield (from the student games) is very popular but would be dwarfed by the Allams proposal. And don't forget how many jobs would be created from its construction. The council need to put some strict convenants on the stadium's (first option to buy back if the Allams fall on tough time) future options, tell the Allams that a new site for the fare needs to be found, and sell up....bank the money and secure the future for youth in the city.
But we pay 50% of tickets sale over 12,000 to SMC and FC pay 5% of sales over 8,000 based on our averages the season before we moved in. All the food and drinks money doesn't go to the clubs either.
What happens to that money is if course a good question, presumably towards maintenance, stewarding, policing and in theory any surplus to the council, although this has apparently been very little. I believe that when AP sold the club the money for rhe SMC was more than for buying the football club.

Just getting a bid bored of all the conspiracy theories and accusations being thrown at the blokes who just saved our club.
There was a good part to his last post, which will need to be looked into seriously, if the Village does go ahead. And that is the access to, and from the ground and car-parking area! Walton Street is a nightmare already and if you increase traffic to the new sports venues it would be really ****in' awful!!
Spot on OLM, some people have very short memories and seem to have a grudge against any body with money, seemingly thinking they should invest (give) it and not eventually expect something back.
The Allam's are multi-millionaire businessmen who have spent ã40+ million to secure the future of a football club that aprox. 10% of the city support regularly, paying, at least, double what the club was worth to save it. If they want to invest in a business venture (the sports village!), for a return to them, as well as an investment for the club for the future, then is there anybody on this board that begrudges them a return on their investment? This is a far thinking plan for this city and this club, that has to be commended by all that live in this cities boundaries, and actively supported by all for the jobs and prestige it can bring to a city that, for years, has been looked upon as a wasteland of the North. If they are able to bring this off it could put Hull on the sports map for a long, long time to come, and give the people of Hull something other than "we were in the PL" to boast about. The remainder of West Park could then become greater than East Park as an area to want to go to visit as the "people" would have reclaimed it rather than be somewhere to go and "score" and get "high" in, or for the piss-heads to "flake-out" in, or the "chaves" to let Tyson run riot in!!
