Yet more proof that we have one of the biggest fanbases in the country. Only Liverpool, scum and Arsenal are discussed more than Leeds: http://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/news...rending-on-twitter-but-not-man-city-1-5218375 http://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co....nding-on-together-with-leeds-united-1-5217816 Ahead of Spurs, Villa, Newcastle, Chelsea and Man City. Add that to the fanbase survey of a few years ago, away followings and website hit data, and it's a wonder that the small-club wind-up brigade still even bother to doubt our following.
OLM there is only you who talks about Hull on Twitter so what do you expect haha I do have 12 different twitter accounts to talk about leeds tho
So Leeds and Paralympics are talked about in the same tweets e.g. Becchio dives like a spastic with his trunks caught on the diving board
It actually says that #Leeds was one of the most popular hashtags, which.. correct me if I'm wrong but is actually in reference to a City in Yorkshire not a football club that plays it's matches at Elland Road. There will obviously be a large amount of cross over but if I was inclined to Tweet everywhere I travelled too I could tweet #Leeds in reference to my location, not in anyway related to the club (fortunately I am not in the habit of tweeting my every move) also those of you who live in Leeds and visit the shops (for example) could tweet and then add #Poundland #Leeds etc. So it is not a fair reflection on the football club as Leeds as a city in it's own right will recieve an incredible high amount of tweets and tags..
You're not wrong, if you Twitter search 'Leeds', the vast majority of tweets are nothing to do with Leeds United(they're mainly students talking about Leeds Uni).
I don't use twitter, but don't most people hashtag the initials when talking about their football clubs eg #hcfc #lufc etc
The football made some nasty contact with his genitalia whilst in the game at Elland Road. That was hilarious. He got subbed off. So he'll be in next year's Paralympics probably!
Oh, and the small club brigade immediately start trying to shoot it down. If it had just been about cities, Birmingham and London would have been ahead of us, likewise Manchester, Bristol and Brighton according to Google's latest trending data. And before you use the sporting context to say it's all Rhinos fans, they don't even include 'Leeds' in their tweets, they just hashtag 'Rhinos'.
Hmm, in the unlikely event you've finally managed to post something that's factually correct, what can be implied by you posting it? A couple of obvious points are that you're so weak and shallow you'd have to stop following your chosen team if you couldn't manufacture figures that made it look a popular choice and the fact numbers and perceptions matter so much, there's a gaping hole in your personality. I've far, far more respect for Macclesfield fans than I've got from some sad and deluded numbers freak, and I bet they get far, far more pleasure out of their match day experiences than you too. I guess this is where it changes to some mindless abuse, or sad sacks posting pictures of hooks.
In all fairness, its probably the 20,000 fans that they've misplaced - they need something to do on a Saturday now
The Paralympics wasn't the most tweeted about sporting event in 2012, it wasn't even close, neither were Leeds the fourth most tweeted about club. The size of the club you support doesn't normally affect your common sense. And you'd have to be seriously ****ing ******ed to buy into the very suggestion. #embarrassing
